Well, nothing says school more than being "a little late." Then again, you could say not so much as late as an early shoe in for the one year anniversary since it premiered here in North America.

But they don't all have human hands and feet. Some of them have quite prominent claws, and in the manga they do in fact have paw pads. In fact the Cherryton logo itself is meant to look like a paw pad (something that annoys the parents/students without paws). We'll probably never know what is canon. The canon word is that "most" have "similar" shape. That leaves a lot up to the imagination because she did not say identical and what counts as similar is subjective.

This reminds me of how there was a stretch of time in which a side page in the manga volumes was mistranslated by fans as saying the roommates sometimes watch porn or horror movies over the weekend. It turns out the accurate translation was more like "slightly risqué." This is still cute to imagine though!
