It was my birthday, so my wife bought me a new monitor I had my eye on, I had been using the same 23 inch cheapest one in the shop for years. Now I have a 32 inch one flash one.

So I decided I wanted a new card, I managed to find a 3060TI which has twice the amount of the good stuff as my 2070. It was also too big for my case, as you can see. Not to be deterred I bought a riser kit that is designed to mount your card vertically in the case and life hacked it on the outside.

And it works fine, I have been using it for two days now, did the best animation I have ever done with it.

Of course this is only a temporary situation. I have never built a PC from scratch but I am going to now. My wife works, but she may only have a couple of weeks left, we don't know. If she has more I can start on it, if we actually knew now that she had more I could start on it tomorrow. Everything I buy is on finance, if she loses work I can't afford to finance anything more until she gets another job or until I pay some of the card down (yes sweetie it's up to you not to let team Mickydoo down).  But I am talking a couple months as opposed to a couple of weeks to build one.

But man in the meantime, I can pump out some dam fine renders in quick succession.
