There’s a theory that all the boomers were too depressed about John Lennon getting shot to buy records around then so this created a vacuum for the Grandma song. Man, I Got Nothing

Nothing on this list is as bad as “Christmas Shoes” , but oh god do I hate “Fairytale of New York” it is an immediate no from me. Only “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah” for after dinner drinking. “2000 Miles” falls into the same category as “River” by Joni Mitchell in that I always forget it is a Christmas song.

As someone who spends almost every new-year in the UK I feel that the New Year's Fireworks show might make for an interesting episode (might need some padding) It has lead to some insane moments due to it being run by the London Mayor. So you get displays dedicated to "Windrush and LGBTQ rights and the NHS (also honoring the new King)" whilst this government rules. Or the "London is open" fireworks just after brexit
