Monthly Report: Jan 4th, 2022 (Patreon)

First and foremost- Happy New Years y'all! May 2022 be the year we all get our nonsense in order, hopefully. Thank you all so much for your continued support- without y'all, I wouldn't be able to do all this and put as much effort and quality into my work as I do. You guys are the best. <3

Buckle up, this is kind of a long one.

So, I started the New Years off right with the guest character Gunhild's animations being released. Super happy with my progress there across the board- I feel like she was probably some of my best animation work yet, combined with me actually kind of figuring out what I was doing with sound work. I'm super happy with the result, and I hope y'all have been enjoying her as well!! The project sort of got out of hand from the groundwork I initially laid out, but in the end, I think it was totally worth it.

So, what's up next?

There are still a lot of Helixftr characters that need finishing up- I know it, y'all have wondered and asked about it, so here's how that's going to go: I'm still wanting to finish up Sholstim next since he *should* be the closest to done. After that, I imagine I'd probably return to Juniper, since I still get a lot of folks wanting her to be finished up. I can't blame y'all for that, either; she just sort of got away from me at the time. Either way, I doubt I'll be getting to her for another couple months.

What's going on THIS month? Well, to be honest, I've found a ton of motivation and energy from working on gift animations with/for folks. Gunhild's going to be a big show to follow up, but I've decided I want to make another one- this guest(s) probably a more proper addition to Helixftr over the more straightforwards animation Gunhild presented.

Her art's inspired me for a really long time, so I'm more than happy to be workin' with her and Antsu to make something I imagine aughta be really fun, haha.

I plan to work on her and Sholstim at the same time. My weekly streams, on Tuesday and Thursdays, will be Sholstim-focused while my work off-stream (or if I decide I just wanna stream on the side) will be focused more on Annika and Antsu. Keep up with Twitter to see updates, since I'm incapable of working on things without sharing them with the world.

Regarding commissions: I still have no idea what I'm doing with commissions. I have no idea what to charge or what to even offer, really- nothing seems quite right to me. It'll just have to be something I might revisit next month, but if I do make any decisions, I'll make sure to mention it both on Twitter and FA and likely give some time for folks to prepare so (hopefully) noone's caught off guard. I will say though, if I do take commissions, I'll be taking them based on the quality of the idea behind them. A lot of time and effort goes into these animations and characters, and I will absolutely be picky when it comes to deciding who's going to end up getting all that time and effort. I hope y'all will be understanding with this.

I think that about covers it, for now. Sorry weekly updates have been sparse as ever- I was keeping Gunhild mostly under wraps since it felt weird to share as a gift animation, but I might lighten up on that policy with Annika's stuff. We'll see.
