Monthly Report: June 2, 2021 (Patreon)

Hey look at that! Two months in a row and I remembered to do these monthly updates.

So, what's been going on? Well- From the above images, the latest projects I've been working on are a redoing of Sholstim, and a sort of... remake? Of the Goodra from way back when, all the way back from my 3rd Barbftr enemy set.

Plans for Goodra:

Basically a reimagining of the original with better poses, animations, and so on. Made out to be a playful bully sort of predator, she's going to have more than a few little extras added on to make her all sorts of fun.

Plans for Sholstim:

Sholstim is also a returning character from way back when, properly remade and glamoured up a bit with hints of gold. Same cocky, powerful attitude though.

I'm kind of trying a new thing where I keep my plans lighter, in the hopes that I don't end up repeatedly making mountains of work for myself and then sort of giving up when I realize how much work is ahead of me? I really need to get my motivational problems towards animating figured out, so expect a sort of base layer of work to be done on Goodra before I get to the really fun stuff. As natural and more fun as it feels to animate as I go, hitting things without a plan and creating a proper base has ended up kicking me in the butt entirely too many times for me to count.

I also want to go back and finish up some of the older projects as well at some point- looking at Chonk first, because he's definitely the closest to being finished up. Might look at Elroy afterwards since he was supposed to be simple, and most of his groundwork is done with already. Beyond that, unsure. I'm getting back in the game, though!

Also looking to have updates out on weekends again, rather than being a mess and totally forgetting every single week. So, got that to look forwards to as well!

Lastly, I would like to thank all of you for the support, despite how quiet and otherwise uneventful the past few months have overall been.  It's bizarre to me that I can make a living out of my animations, something I never would have believed a few years ago. Seriously, thank you all so much for your continued support. I'm going to continue to try my best to kick butt and produce some quality stuff!
