Hi guys! My name is Connor and I am joining the Migaku Team as a Software Developer.

A bit about myself

I am from Liverpool, England and since a young age became fascinated with Japanese through watching anime (I’m sure you've never heard that story before ). After spending every waking moment of my teenage years watching anime, I finally decided to tackle learning Japanese.

After many trials and tribulations and two years of failing with traditional learning, I came across the Migaku tools. And now, 5000 sentence cards and 2000 episodes of One Piece later, I can kind of understand Japanese TV and it’s pretty cool! 

Since the tools were so useful to me for my learning process, I wanted to help other people learn just like I did, which brings us to today. 

What I will bring to the team

I recently graduated from university with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Masters’ degree focused on Language Acquisition. Due to this, I hope to bring a more theoretical and detailed perspective to the tools we create to ensure you will be getting the most fun and efficient language experience you can! Before Migaku, I was previously a full-time software developer for a well-known UK company. With this experience I’ve already started to use my skills to implement some of my ideas into upcoming tools  and I can’t wait for you to be able to try them soon!
