*If you're on Linux and are having issues exporting cards please disable "Always on Top" mode, as it seems to cause issues on certain distros.

1. Fixed the issue with the incorrect subtitle and audio being added to a card after clicking the Anki button more than once.
2. Fixed the issue with the incorrect subtitle and audio being added to a card after someone has reloaded a page during a recording (for example, when cancelling the 1T Export or Export All process)

DISABLE THE DOWNLOAD PROMPT IN CHROME:


Browser Extension Upgrading Instructions for All Platforms:

1.If you want to continue using your word list please download a backup that you can later import after updating to the new version.

2. In the Chrome extension menu click the "Remove" button as shown below.

3. If you have place the accentAudio folder in your old ImmerseWithMigaku folder, remove it from that folder

4. Delete the old ImmerseWithMigaku folder.

5. Unzip the new ImmerseWithMigaku folder.

6. Replace the accentAudio folder into the new ImmerseWithMigaku folder.

7. Follow the original installation instructions in the video above to install the new update.

Is Migaku Dictionary and Migaku Browser going to function as a replace for Morphman T+1 ? As you are updating everything for anki 2.1.35 and Morphman still has not, is Morphman still a critical part of this process or was that only while you were a part of MIA?

Morphman requires people to store massive amounts of media to be useful. This is not something most language learners can, desire or are willing to do. So there is no plan to require huge sentence banks with Migaku software projects. However, we do want to allow users access to the majority of the useful features that Morphman has. The Migaku Japanese note type does not appear in Note Types. How do I get it?

The Migaku Player is buggy for me when I try and make an Anki card. The toolbar disappears and nothing happens in anki as far as adding cards goes. This is true for exporting all 1T cards or all cards. Using it with Netflix worked as expected. I could really use this migaku player though. Chrome Version 87.0.4280.67 Anki Version 2.1.35 OSX Version 10.15.7 Edit: I'm having the same problem on Windows as well

Why I can't get the audio using Migaku Extension on youtube? When I click in the Anki icon the video does not reproduce, so, the extension can't record the audio of the video which is playing.

Thanks for the support, please post about your issue on the Discord server if possible This issue is usually to do with a user's computer using too many resources at the time of the recording. You should make sure to have as few programs running when using the extension as possible. Recording and taking a screenshot takes about as much ram/processing power as screen recording or screen sharing does in an application like Discord or Zoom.

Hello, thanks for the guide. I seem to have run into a little trouble 4 minutes into the video when you add the image field to the Migaku Japanese note type. I don't have a Migaku Japanese note type. Am I to make it from scratch, download it beforehand, or is there something wrong?

For some reason, Migaku stopped working on Netflix since yesterday. It works just fine on Youtube. I reinstalled the extension, but same problem.

WHen I press the anki button in the browser (netflix) I get a message: "The media files were not found in your download directory", even though i linked the migaku dictionary settings browser download path with the chrome download browser path, when i look into the folder, I can see the single files 8image and audio) in there but somehow its not possible for anki to create an automatic card. Im on anki 2.22

I will be fixing this so that it follows the setting from Migaku Dictionary. But for now you can try using the Migaku Editor Add-on which allows you to adjust the size of images.

Hello! First of all, thank you so much for your amazing add-ons! I was watching your video and I saw that amongst the dictionaries you add to your Japanese custom dictionary group, you have the 大辞林 and another monolingual one. I downloaded the MigakuLegacy Guide to learn how to install dictionaries but I only saw a link to bilingual dictionaries. I have been surfing the internet in search for a Daijirin that I can include but I have found none. I found a Daijirin.json file on github (which was promising, since the other dictionaries have that extension) but it doesn't seem to be working. Right now I don't know if it's because of folder hierarchy or another problem. Where did you find the monolingual dictionaries that you show in your video? Please direct me to another one of your videos if it's explained there! Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season.

Thank you for creating this! This really reinvigorated my motivation and even helped me become more confident in my choices immersing with new content by being able to parse text and see just how much of the text is completely unknown. This really was a game changer for me and the variety of content it opened up to me that I can easily throw into anki while watching/reading really outweighed the sites I lost through incompatibility. Hi Yoga, the extension is pretty much unusable for me on Netflix because after a while, it doesn't attach screenshots to the exporter anymore, although the sound is there. A laptop reboot fixes it but it breaks again. I am not the only one with this issue as per a comment on the Discord. I filed a bug report but nothing yet. Please consider this when you have time, otherwise the extension is useless for us... thank you.

Hi Yoga, I've wanted and was thinking to develop this kind of extension for a while now, so I was elated to find out that you've already done it :) I had a couple initial suggestions to make it even better: 1. On Netflix, I want to be able to flag the sentences that had something new but not immediately make cards for it so that I can just focus on enjoying the show instead of switching back and forth with Anki; maybe the ability to all at one time, just make cards for everything that I flagged after I'm done watching. That would make it even better! 2. When interacting with the Migaku Dictionary, it seems that sometimes on a multiple-subtitle card export, I don't hit the "save" button fast enough when the screenshot and recording get downloaded on Chrome, and then the Dictionary complains that the files weren't there and I have to do it all over again. Can you make it more forgiving or somehow smarter about how long it should wait before saying that? 3. It'd be nice if while I'm interacting with the subtitle bar, when a new subtitle starts, the scroll position of the subtitle browser doesn't immediately snap to the next subtitle. It makes it harder to work with when I'm fighting with the extension over the scroll position, I think it should scroll conditionally, maybe based on whether or not I have scrolled recently, or perhaps Google Maps style where you can "recenter" yourself on the latest subtitle. It'd also be nice if the subtitle wasn't all the way at the top of the screen (so you can see context from the previous subtitles) and even better if it was a smooth animated scroll so that it's easier to follow. Thanks again for the great work!

The link you provided was a text file how were you able to open it using the terminal? Whenever I transfer the ffmpeg file to the ffmpeg folder and open it to ask for permission the file doesn't convert to a terminal file like yours. Hope someone can help. Thanks!

There's no Migaku Japanese note type in my anki app (mac) after the add-on installed. I looked around, and in the get started guide (https://www.migaku.io/tools-guides/anki/guide#general-recommended-audio-sentence-card-format), it talks about: "Please note that if you visit our Recommended Beginner Decks Downloads List, that there you can also download an example deck that contains an example Card of each of the recommended Note Types. You can then delete the example Cards but use their Note Types for your own purposes." But there's nothing there after I clicked the link (it took me to be coming soon page)
