It is very frustrating to have to let everyone know about this, but I need to share my experience with programming the new Solace toy that Lovense has released.

Lovense wanted me to advertise it alongside Fairy FINDR. I told them I would not suggest anything to anyone without testing it myself, so they sent me the toy early and also let me know they devs of the toy had tested it with my games.

When it arrived I was instantly disappointed. None of the patterns I've made previously seemed to match with the toy pumping at all. I spend a lot of time making the patterns match with my games, because if they don't follow what's happening in the game, why even have it Bluetooth connected? You could just use any toy and play along that way.

The story went from 'The devs have tested your games with it' to 'you'll need to make patterns for the Solace'. Which is fine, it just meant i needed to find some time to go back and re-do everything for each game just for this new toy.

But when I finally did get the time to give it a go, I came across a big issue. It seems that the toy doesn't really have any controllable speed timing. There's about 4 speeds and that's it. The other toys you can control in milliseconds. This makes it impossible to sync the Solace with any of my games, because the pumping actions will never match up to the animation.

So yeah. The Solace won't work with my games, and if it's a hardware issue like the dev team said, there will be no future update that will fix it.

The toy technically does connect and pump, but there's no way for me to control the speed enough to make it match the actions in any of my games properly.

Aside from the Solace, all the other toys should work as far as I know (I don't have them all, but I have a fair few, and have not heard issues with the other toys)

I take pride in the games that I make, and it's disappointing to me that they let me and you down with this one. I originally added lovense compatibility because I thought it would be a little fun thing to add. I don't want to feel like they are dictating what posts I make on here or on my discord. I don't want to make the functionality with my games a bigger deal than it already is. I'll likely cut back on mentioning lovense in general, i'll keep adding support for it in future games but I don't want to mention it much anymore.

As a 2 time customer of their products because of your games thank you for giving us ur raw and honest opinion. Will be steering clear of this one until its functionality isn’t limited on the “hardware side” and I hope they don’t come down on your working relationship, cause if it wasn’t for you they wouldn’t have gotten my business at all. I hope they know this!

"It will work properly, but it won't work as intended." Yeah.... as in, it won't work properly, where's the disconnect? "I feel it's a bit harsh to recommend people don't get it." No, that's a completely valid thing to say if the thing you're selling doesn't work, in your own words, a "as intended."

Thank you for your honesty and transparency!

That's such a disappointing outcome, and also rather odd, since the marketing copy for the toy says it can do 280 thrusts per minute at top speed. You'd think if that were accurate, it would handle sub-second timings? 280/min works out to in excess of 4/sec, and I feel like you could work with that sort of timing? I'd even been considering picking up one of their toys specifically because of the integration with your games. Like you said, if it can't match up, what differentiates it from just any other manual toy?

Well here's hoping the Solace 2 will have better speed control.

It's great of you to actually give an explanation rather than just "sorry it won't work, not my fault"

There's a lot more words on this post than that going into detail about this issue. Your comment truly perplexes me.

I bought one of their other ones just for your stuff too. I bet you were a notable influence on their sales.

I think it's just a small typo, they are saying its good i went into detail instead of just saying 'it won't work'

Yikes. I actually really wanted the solace but if there are only four speeds and you can't control it like you can control the other toys my newly then I want nothing to do with it.

I don't know if this is relevant but I'm having difficulty connecting my max2 to helluva hound due to the recent update for lovense app
