Hey there, I felt the need to clarify some stuff about FINDR Online and the Competition, as i've been getting a lot of questions, and thought it needed it's own post. Firstly, if you missed it, the game is now out here!

FINDR Online - Do I need to stay subscribed to Patreon to use online features?

No, you do not need an active subscription. If you have ever been a Patreon at some point, even once, it will work just fine. Which means if you don't continue your subscription in the future, you'll still have full access to online functionality.

The locking feature is only for people who have never subscribed and have pirated the game, and then try to use the online features. This is why when you enter your email, it's your Patreon email.

I am trying to keep the security as relaxed as possible. It mostly makes sure the swiping component of the game does not get ruined, and people doing the right thing get rewarded properly!

Some fairies in the future will use assets from future versions, so you'd need to update the game to download those. There's some code to check in the game that the fairy being downloaded is compatible with your game, so it wont download one that will cause a break!

Fairies look broken in my game?

If you played the pre-release, please make sure you have updated to the latest public version, as it's missing some assets! You should see 117 in the top left of the parody login screen in the game.

If you are having serious trouble with a fairy and can't delete them, here's a secret to removing them out of your phonebook - first, find where the fairy is located in the phone book (page 2, 2nd one down, for example) tap/click the FINDR logo until you see the 'safe mode' text appear, now you need to navigate the phonebook blind as no other fairy data will load, giving you the opportunity to delete a fairy based on its location in the book. Hope this helps!

Mascot Competition!

I think this was easily missed in the big release post, but I'm running a competition to find the mascot fairy for the game, winner gets $100 USD visa or equivalent in a gift card.

- You can submit as many fairies as you like

- If you aren't in my discord, you can join by connecting your patreon to discord by following these instructions.

Other than that, super happy with the response so far, and I really hope people are enjoying the sharing and calling aspect of the game!

Really excited to add the Shortstack update and more content, as all created fairies will be able to be played in future scenes! Really keen on the idea of a BJ scene with them in the future too.

Happy to answer more questions below :)

I was wondering how to make a custom fairy I was confused on how to go about doing that

There's no body customization, you'll need to swipe until you find one you think looks the best, and then you can customize her accessories

Love the updates! Just a heads up it seems like the Fairy facial expressions change to a default when you change their wardrobe.

beachsidebunnies

That's okay, intentional so you can see how they look, they will also close their eyes a bit if you start changing their eyeliner :)

by trying to overprotect your work so it won't be pirated, you over complicated the whole system. like how triple A developers putting denuvo drm on there game and it ends up just making stuff harder for the people who paid. you get a fixed income and people who will pirate a 5$ game will never pay anyways. i respect you wanting to protect your work and all tho. when i see a game adding DRM stuff it makes me want to pirate it. the situation here is somewhat different sure, but when i REALLY dislike that sort of thing even if i sorta understand where you coming from.

I really don't understand how this is being associated with DRM. The game does not need any type of login to play, but to use the online part to upload/download fairies online you just need to enter your patreon email. This is the first time I've ever had any type of protection ever, I really don't feel like it's 'overprotection' but rather the first type of little protection I've ever had. The games have always been stolen and spread online so easily and this has been the first little protection I've had against it that has worked for more than a day....
