Kageyama learning to be sociable and friendly with the team is hilarious and so wholesome 🥹 Despite what you think, Kageyama is actually very respectful to his senpais. It just seems like he’s rude and mean because we first see him interacting with people his own age getting into fights with Hinata and Tsukishima especially. Even after he almost got slapped/punched in the face by Oikawa he just wanted to learn his ways. Even though Oikawa didn’t teach him how to do the serve toss the reason Kageyama got so good at his jump serves, is probably from watching Oikawa. —— Oikawa and Kageyama had similar problems in that they were both too focused on themselves to see the importance of teamwork. Oikawa was constantly being defeated by Shiratorizawa (namely Ushiwaka) and with the threat of a genius taking his spot he was obsessed with improving himself to overcome both these problems. Both Oikawa and Kageyama didn’t trust their teammates. The only difference is Oikawa had Iwaizumi to tell it to him straight. And unfortunately, Kageyama didn’t have that until Hinata and Karasuno. Iwaizumi to Oikawa: “you’re gonna hurt yourself!” Also Iwazumi: jump kicks Oikawa in the back, head butts him and gives him a nose bleed. —— Some Tsukishima love this episode can’t wait till we get to his arc.

nothing going through middle schooler kageyama’s brain besides learning from oikawa and meanwhile oikawa was spiralling 😭 i love how kageyama tries to apply straight away what he observes and learns from suga. and since he is a prodigy he picks up strategy and technique quite quickly. and you can see that he is really trying with communicating
