It's probably too much for their hosting to have a file that is ten times bigger for every release. IMHO, what they should do is allow the game to load files, and put the various modules into files that could be released separately. Then, if they don't change an module, they don't have to release it, and you could have larger modules (e.g., image packs) and modules that are politically incorrect (e.g., old Frosty). Edit: maybe host the image packs via BitTorrent? with their hosting as just a super-seeder?
