THE AUGUST AUPDATE...!! (Patreon)

こんぺこ！こんぺこ！こんぺこ! ah, i mean- welcome back everyone!! it's another month here at lewdlemage dot com... we're in the dog days of summer now, what surprises will await us this month!?! 

First order of business!! As some may remember, usually this time of year I do an 'OC Month', however this time I'll just be keeping things normal! 

This is for a couple of reasons! Feel free to skip to the end if you just wanna know what drawings are coming up next! 

Since I took a break a month ago, I mostly just want to get back on the grind of doing regular poll-suggested animations rather than coming back and immediately getting self-indulgent lol. Also, I've been meaning to rework the OC month a bit? I do like drawing my own characters, but the month idea originally started as a way to give patrons a way to get their own characters drawn? There's an obvious imbalance in power due to the 'brand recognition' between any artist and a non-artist's OC, where if you put it to a vote, people will just vote for the characters they're familiar with! To address this moving forward, I'd like to propose this! Basically, I'd just reserve the 1st place spot for myself, and just animate my own character there, because people do enjoy seeing me do my own thing! Then, BIG FISHES would submit their own OCs into a suggestion box and then, similar to how streams work, I'd pick three characters I feel like drawing! One would get the 2nd animation spot, and the other two would get proper sketches! In addition, I'd probably just focus on OCs during the stream sketches as well to include some more folks. This way I can give a little love to the patron OCs! Let me know if you guys like this sort of idea! If people were alright with the idea I was thinking of implementing it in September! Also, for non-BIG FISH patrons, there'd still be a regular fanart poll that month, but it'd just be a sketch poll like I did a month ago! 

Basically anyway, that was a bunch of text just to say, this is gonna be a regular ol' normal month!! 

As for what's coming down the pipe this week... I have a lot of little doodle ideas, but the main events will be the Android 18 sketch, as well as the next bit of Smauggie stuff! Then I'll probably end the week with the BIG FISH Stream, probably on like the 9th or 10th? We shall see!
