Edit: this video has been updated to be more accurate and less shitty.

I brought a DNF 2001 video, as it shot to the very front of my production schedule. Old DOS platformer? NAH! Slavjank? We will get to it, and it's magical.

But DNF 2001 is, if not important, at least interesting, and most importantly, glitchy and surreal in equal measure. We never thought we'd play this. While you won't see every single map included in the leak, I think I captured all of the big ones and ignored the placeholders or empty spaces that have nothing to discuss. There's lots of those.

I was actually surprised at how much there was in this build. A dedicated team could make a game out of this in a year. And, from what I understand, they did, before it got scrapped because it wasn't pretty enough. Bleeding edge graphics killed this version. If it had come out in 2002, it would have been epochal. If it had come out in 2003, it would have been a monster hit. The Duke would have stayed king.

It didn't, and we ended up in the bad timeline, but that's how it goes sometimes.

If you'd like to have a different name in the credits than what you pledged with, leave me a comment, or DM me on here or Twitter or discord or whatever. If your name is wrong, not included, or anything else, shoot me a message calling me an asshole and telling me to fix it.

Or if you want one of those fancy colored names that everyone gets now if they want. The credits in the video are usually a couple of days behind the actual patron list so if you don't see your name,  it will be in the next upload.
