Hey everyone.

The first month on Patreon has come and gone and I wanted to say thank you for the overwhelming support. The financial support you’re providing is a big motivator to continue and grow the story, compared to the on and off hobby it has been for me before. As mentioned, I will continue to add chapters to the Patreon advance and find ways for you to leave your mark on the story.

For the few that care, I started reading Don’t Fear the Reaper years and years ago, starting my journey on RoyalRoad. I’ve read many stories on the site since then. Some have captured me on my phone for days at a time where I even forgot to eat or sleep while others made me rage at the introduced harem or sudden drop of a story.

We’ve all been there and it’s a beautiful feeling to look up from a story and know there are fifty more chapters of this awesomeness.

When I started writing for fun on a day when I just couldn’t find any more stories I enjoyed for longer than a single chapter, I never thought I’d come this far. Trust me, I’m aware of how much luck is involved in getting so many followers but hey, here I am and it’s pretty fucking cool. A couple days ago Azarinth Healer even passed Don’t Fear the Reaper for a moment in the ratings.

What I’m trying to say is thank you. Thank you for being here and sharing your thoughts on the story or simply just reading. The nearly 100% constructive criticism has helped me improve so much and just shows how much this community cares. The positive feedback is something else and makes me smile every time someone is crying because there are no more chapters or because there is a cliffhanger. Seriously though it makes me incredibly happy that so many of you enjoy the story.

I will stop now because you’re here to read the story and not for my sentimental blabber. At least that’s how I felt whenever an author of my currently preferred story would go on and on about something like this. I try to keep it a rare thing though and today just seemed right.

So cheers everyone, to RoyalRoad, to fantasy and litrpg and to reading itself. A hobby that allows us to create and immerse ourselves in magical worlds and lets us wonder just how much blood that roundhouse kick of Ilea managed to splatter on the wall behind her enemy.
