Context:

It is the year 2055, and humans are at war with a race of aquatic mutants which were awoken from centuries of slumber due to deep water fracking. 

You and your coworker are part of a contingent of specialist soldiers sent out to help your colleagues at an underwater base. 

Unfortunately, your group was attacked while making your way there. You fought hard and survived, but the battleship is badly warped and the escape pods are malfunctioning. 

All you can do now is wait several days until help arrives.
