Edit: Apologies for the spammy-o's - here is some clarification: I have misunderstood the copy and it IS possible for current patrons to change to an annual membership (thanks Glace for checking) by going into their edit pledge page (see instructions below). It is also possible to switch currencies in the same way. Sorry for any inconvenience or confusion caused! Have a good week everyone. Sending you all love through the giant love beam <3

Hey loves,

I have so much gratitude for everyone who has supported me, in any way, over these past few years. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for your encouraging comments, assisting me with making audios, creating scripts, and living and study costs. You guys are the best 💛.

Annual Memberships

Many of you have stayed for a very long time and some have expressed their intentions of continuing to stay. Patreon has created an option for annual memberships and I have turned this on, for those who are interested. You will receive a 10% discount for an annual pledge.

This option is available to all new and current patrons.

**To assist with timing, the Patreon billing system runs on Pacific Time (Los Angeles)

Pay in Your Local Currency

New and current patrons now have the option of paying in their local currency. The currencies available are USD, British Pounds, and Euros. This may result in savings for some patrons as you will no longer have to pay conversion fees from your bank or card.

Edit: Exchange rates fluctuate over time so please check these before pledging to determine the currency you wish to pledge in!

To switch currency:

 1. On Patreon.com, hover over your avatar in the top right of your screen.
 2. Click Manage memberships.
 3. Find this page, and click Edit.
 4. Under Currency, choose your preferred currency.
 5. Click Update to save your settings.

More details can be found on this page: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/204606275

Stay safe and well everyone! Lots of love x

This is neat! Patrons get a discount, and creators get a bit more income security, which considering the current state of the world, is definitely helpful.

This definitely saved my ass! One nice steady yearly payment instead of it almost doubling every month cause the CAD fluctuated.

Yes indeedy, they implemented it as many creators were asking for it and it's a win-win, esp for people who prefer to use this model of pledging!

Thanks so much Glace, and :0 how did you do that? Just got a notification that you edited your pledge - did you just go into Edit Pledge and it gave you the option of Annual Membership? I must have misunderstood the article where it said "annual membership will be available for all new patrons" and derpily assumed that current patrons couldn't change it >.<

Oh wow, annual is 21.60 USD and the same amount in British pounds: 21.60 GBP. However: 21.60 GBP is actually 27.51 USD. British people getting the short end of the stick! It should be 16.49 GBP for Brits for them to paying the same amount as those using USD :P Patreon's fault, not yours!

Oh heck, I thought they converted it fairly based on exchange rates x_x(my page default is USD - if you're in Europe or UK it now shows local currency based on IP but people can still change it to USD during checkout): "How does my currency affect the price I see on Patreon? When pledging to a creator who operates and sets prices in a currency other than your preferred currency, Patreon converts the tier price for you using a conversion based on historical exchange rate data." BUT SURPRISE, it's not that simple...I just went in to look at the tables and it's like this: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044469871#h_348b59dc-b09f-4fae-9a73-87059604140e So yeah, in summary, pledge in USD lol. If annual membership is 21.6USD and 21.6GPB, that's kind of sus

Yeah, you would think so! It's honestly great, but you need a crazy good computer to run it. I thought my PC was pretty decent but I've gotta run it on low graphics settings :P
