Fab pod as always. Would we consider Tamagotchi as AI, as they literally have a lifespan and die accordingly, even if you feed them. Also would you consider doing a pod or at least discussing your relationship with Perfect Androgyny? like how it started/ended, relationships with other members and any other tid-bits. 🫶🏻

I work in marketing and use AI tools a fair amount and to be honest, they’ve done nothing but make my life/job easier! In roles like mine, it’s very common for employers to expect you to do the job of 5 people, and as much as I’d like to tell them to piss off, I’ve got bills to pay! Learning how AI copywriting tools work and how to train them to produce good results that I can then edit has made my workload a lot more manageable. I know a lot of people in my industry are fearful that these tools will take jobs away from real people, but the only real success of independent AI writing I’ve heard of is at the Washington Post. Even then, the AI only produces and publishes routine election and sports updates, and there is a human verifying information it publishes. Obviously this is just my experience and only relevant my particular field, though. Great pod as always!

Hi sugar, just wanted to thank you and Nora for your coverage of Eurovision. You guys helped me understand it so in 2022 I gave it a go. Cut to 2023 and I am now known as Eurovision boy in my friend group, as well as the new yearly party host! It's like sports for homos and I love it. Thanks for bringing me into the fun (Loreen forever). Ps. You looked fucking great at your Eurovision party. Oh, and down with AI. More dangerous than it’s worth IMO.

Great pod, always lovely to get an earful of Beef. I avoid AI as much as humanly possible because as much as it could theoretically do all sorts of cool things, at the moment it just seems to be rich assholes trying to take the joy out of anything artsy so they don't have to pay actual artists. That being said, someone has been using AI to generate "dashcam Gwyneth Paltrow sightings" and I can't help but laugh my ass off every time I see them.

As an artist I can not stand this AI ‘art’ movement and neither can a lot in the art community. It’s just a bunch of crypto bros thinking they have any form of talent, typing in prompts to feed into a machine, when it’s downright theft. They only care about cutting corners and making money and putting in none of the work. Remember last year when everyone was posting their AI portraits? I unfollowed a few people because of it, even a lot of artists who did it. You can’t say ‘I’ll post this but I still support artists’ because you don’t, you’ve shown your hypocrisy. Look up the Artstation AI boycott if you can, artists on the site used the same anti-AI image to fuck up AI art on the site, it was hilarious and brilliant.

Hello Lymp, I'm hoping this comment will reach you in time! I left a comment a few weeks ago saying I was on my way to shoot my grad film and I never let you know how it went. I just finalised everything and handed it in, so I am now officially done with uni! It has been a very stressful few weeks, but I got it done and can finally say I've made something I'm proud of.
