Julia Roberts is one of the world's highest paid and most celebrated actresses. In the 90s, there was no one else more bankable than she. Not necessarily known for her versatility, she was generally found hanging out in rom-coms and light crappers starring leading men like Hugh Grant or Richard Gere. My forever fave of hers is Erin Brockovich, where she shouts at a cellphone.

Ah yeah, Closer, that one where Clive Owen asks Natalie Portman what her c*nt tastes like while she's wearing a wig like the girl from Lazy Town

Brilliant pod as always ☺️. Maybe not at the same level as Julia Roberts but I feel like Anya Taylor Joy is a newer young actress that’s pulling in numbers and gaining that level of fame where people will watch a movie or show just to see her. I think her performance in The Queen’s Gambit was brilliant. Plus she’s a horror pro that’s been in some of my faves, The Witch, Split and The Menu. Zendaya’s another name that I think brings in a lot of money and Florence Pugh and Jenna Ortega seem to be gaining a lot of steam (I feel like Florence definitely deserved more recognition for her performance in Midsommar).

Lovely pod, as per: thanks, Lympi. Last episode you asked about grams. 1 gram is about the mass of a regular paperclip: 4 grams is the mass of a regular sugar cube. 1 gram (g) = 1,000 milligrams (mg) 'Usual' human doses of cocaine range from 10mg to 120mg. Lethal doses have been as low as 30mg: others have survived 5g, i.e. more than enough to kill a bear. As for the dessert show prissy woman saying "mer fer", it may have been her hilariously bad attempt at pronouncing "mille feuilles", French for "a thousand layers" (their name for a vanilla slice, or custard slice). There's no real equivalent in English for the correct pronunciation. This is a good demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3U32Gb6hcpg

Listening to this whilst completing my last assignment for my masters degree (can't wait for it to be over honestly). Your pods have got me through this year as I've gone through all of the old ones over the last year since I started my course in September. Used to have Hook on VHS when i was little and every time I was ill I would stay off school at my Nans and watch that and Matilda on repeat. My favorite roll of hers was in 'Wonder' which makes me cry everytime I watch it.

Congrats on finishing your last assignment! That is in no way a small feat!

Its bizarre that Steel Magnolias, Pretty Woman and Erin Brokovich are all in my list of favorite films but I dont care for Julia Roberts much as a person, I dont know what it is, she just doesnt click with me as a particularly relatable or fun person outside of her work

My only guess for the snooty baker woman is she’s saying mille-feuille, which is basically a custard slice. Not sure if it’s that! Julia Roberts is always going to be an actor who is up there for me. So much so that if I hear she’s in something new or old I will want to watch it. I agree with you in that she seems so likeable, someone who’d be my friend, she’s stunning, she’s funny but is capable of having those moments of anger, sadness, sorrow that really hit you. She comes across well as herself too

Hiya Lymp! Stunning pod as always. Plus one to Thom’s comment above, I imagine the snooty baker lady was saying mille-feuille. I didn’t even realise I knew what that was until I heard you talk about it, isn’t it weird when you just pull random facts out of your arse? Anyway, I did the same thing with Steel Magnolias, it was part of a list of movies I tried watching cuz I felt like they were constantly referenced in gay culture. Heathers was on that list as well and I don’t mind telling you that I didn’t care for it. As for bankable actresses I feel like Angelina Jolie was up there for a while in the 00s. Emily Blunt is one of those people too but I feel like she gets overlooked a bit. Love you dolls, can’t wait to have Jen back on an upcoming pod.

Ello Lymp, I'd love to hear Jen and yours opinion on AI. Personally, I have some strong opinions on "AI" and how companies are starting to use user conversations to mimic human interactions (imagine an AI thats learned how to interact by spectating the twitch chat, that'd be a threat to society).

PLEASE do a pod on Escorts! I’m so interested in it, I’ve tried to search for it in the past when you referenced it, but haven’t been able to find it. Love ya!

Please lymp for the love of God do a pod about escort!!!!

Sabrina Spunkman

Would you consider doing a podcast about the Real Housewives, or the mysterious case of Nump DeDumpty?

Joe Crabtree

I’d say that Emma stone is another bankable actress who has the same energy as Jennifer Lawrence, both being likeable and relatable. They’ve done a few interviews together and seem like good friends. They hinted once at an ‘actors round table’ that they were possibly working on a movie together, I would die of happiness! Great pod thanks lymp x

Eureka! I've used this website a lot with no (apparent) problems: I do recommend using a pop-up blocker, however. Enjoy! https://putlocker.bar/watch/gdV9zmGD-escorts.html
