Re swimming in clothes: in my teens, I swam in pyjamas as part of my Bronze Medallion (an award for swimming & lifesaving). Even as a very strong swimmer, the added drag was incredible: if Nicola Bulley was wearing a heavy coat & wellies, I'm sure she could have been dragged under & been unable to resist it.

Fantastic pod as usual ! I totally agree about breakfast, and I had my nightmare scenrio recently where I was working away for my PhD and my supervisor had book for us to get a full english every morning. Im sorry but a full English at 7am is just the worst. To go for the clothes weight when wet, for example Jeans can soak in a couple of kilos when wet, so I imagine a full outfit of multiple layers must add a huge chunk of weight.

i'm sorry but there is no fucking way that guy is dead. also, aprapoo-poo of nothing, but would Nova ever consider making a video of her cutting or dyeing hair? (Glenda or you or anyone, really). I find those sorts of videos very relaxing to watch, especially as someone who has no manual skills of any kind.

That crypto shit is absolute shite. I think it’s RIGHT up there with NFTs which are just as useless. I remember liked forever ago when people were freaking out that it was “worth something” and I didn’t understand then and don’t understand now. Also great minds think alike BECAUSE I’ve recently fallen in love with oat milk, and I’ve been wanting to make oatmeal with it 😭 I really can’t wait to see what the NurVympiar channel has in store for 2023. Can we get some readers for this years plans? Bernadette Banner Patriot maybe?? 😩

Haven't listened all the way through yet but so happy this is out in time for me to listen to on the train to my first placement as a student nurse. I'm very nervous but your pod has always been there to calm me down! Thanks lymp x

As far as the wet clothes are concerned, it does make sense to me to be honest. A few years ago our washing machine broke so for a few days I had to do laundry by hand, and some of those clothes get really heavy when soaking wet. Considering she would have been dressed for the cold, her clothes could have really weighed her down.

Followup on that Dahmer comment last week. So as for your reasoning for not wanting to discuss it further, do you think Ryan Murphy and Evan Peters ect. are in some way morally bankrupt for painstakingly recreating and reenacting Dahmer's crimes. Since you don't even feel comfortable discussing it behind a paywall, What makes this different than any other horrific topic discussed on this pod

Long time listener, first turn commenter. I always enjoy listening to your dulcet tones on my way to and from work so thanks again for another great episode. I watched the documentary as soon as I got home after listening earlier this week and the evidence presented makes me believe that he is dead but there were some loose ends that need explaining. Such as why there was no autopsy done. To the best of my knowledge when someone dies so young and so suddenly there is usually an autopsy to determine exactly what the cause of death was. Maybe the laws are different in India or perhaps the wife was emotional and just wanted to get home. It’s something that definitely warrants an explanation. Also, I’m with you Lymp. I cannot wrap my head around what crypto is or how it works. Even after they explained it in the film I was still none the wiser. For that reason alone I don’t go anywhere near it. I prefer my cash to be either in my hand or in my account where I can see it Thanks again for another great episode. Can’t wait for the next one 💖
