It's happened. It's been a concept on the books for at least a year now - and today, my mother Lesley (affectionately referred to as Lel) agreed to sit down me with for a pod at her house in Surrey as we enter Pride month. We discuss what it was like for her and my father to raise a queer kid in conservative South London in the 90s/00s and there were even a few revelations that left me scone-faced.

She'll be seeing the comments so go ham if you'd like to write her a message!

You mother sounds like a friggin' DOLL and I intensely enjoyed this heartwarming interview :) I know this comment is ages late considering the podcast for which was meant, but I thought it might interest you: my uncle Steve (who sadly just recently passed away) was among the finalists for the Teacher in Space program that aimed to put Christa McAuliffe in orbit on Challenger; though I was only two at the time of the event, I have often thought of just what could have been going through his head watching the event in person. Also, as for the "survivors" of the initial explosion, I have read that indeed some of the bodies recovered were found to have water in their lungs, suggesting that they may have actually survived the fall though were too incapacitated to do anything about it. Also ZOMG I love your "weird" and "conspiracy" theory podcasts! They are arguably my favorite. A subject that might be fun would be to look into the weirdness surrounding the Denver International Airport; nothing specific, but rather just the weird "theories" about its cost, construction, and features. Incidentally, I have a familial connection to it as well, as my father's cousin owned one of the contracting companies hired for construction of various structures - yes, I have asked him if he is part of a new world order conspiracy and yes, he has denied it and said he is honestly unaware of what it's even about... but don't you worry, I'll get it out of him eventually! -_^ Love the podcast, love you girls, and can't wait to be a Patron for years to come <3
