LIVE for Toni. Tbh I live for all the prime birds I've featured in this Inspirational Ladies series. I can first recall seeing Toni Collette in The Sixth Sense but the true nature of her performance wouldn't impress on me until much later. I've also included commentary on other acclaimed performances which include her roles in Muriel's Wedding, Hereditary and United States of Tara.

Greetings from British Columbia! Graham Norton filmed The Graham Norton Effect in NYC in 2004 (back when I lived there) and I saw the taping with Toni Collette and Jason Bateman. Toni and Graham chatted for nearly 45 minutes, but they edited it to 15 when it aired. She was absolutely hilarious, candid, and delightful. I don't even remember Jason being there at all as Graham and Toni got on so well. Carlotta Gurl (from Connie and Carla) is a Vancouver drag queen whose out of drag name is Carl. I'm not sure there's much else to it. She's a solid performer from Newfoundland and her shows always start on time (how uncommon!). Helena Handbag is a close friend of a my oldest friend and she told tales of how fun the shoot was, even for her few days on set.

Hi ‘lymp it’s your nursey, long time no speak, realized i had not been practicing “self care” for a long time (too busy staffing a very understaffed overstretched A&E) as the pod was part of a weekly long soak in the bath chilling listening to you, which i haven’t had time for, (still bathed daily, just quickly) which has been not so good for the soul. So i took the executive decision that taking time for me was more important than every call to cover a shift, it’s a difficult habit to break. I have adored a back to back episode catch up, toni collete was a lady who was first introduced to me in the early 90’s muriels wedding part of the australian invasion, late 80’s early 90’s which i adored as a young lad, to this day can’t help telling people “you’re terrible marial” and “marial……i can’t move my legs” when i can’t be arsed (mainly with a hangover) i loved united states of tara which i downloaded and found to have such a british sense of humour, it was so raw and genuine, genuinely sad it only lasted a few seasons, toni in hotel splendid was a fab character in a really bizzare film set in a hotel ran on a premise of constipated patrons powering the heating/hot water system, with daniel craig playing a very pouty love interest, saw it late night on channel four years ago to find it on Netflix i think years later, and her turn in connie and carla, i ended up ordering off amazon as couldn’t find it on any media platform, just love the film with geust spot from the legendary miss debbie Reynolds. To be honest ‘lymp and Nova the channel is going from strength to strength and you are giving this fat northern lad strength with your superb content every week, good luck with the move to Novympia mannor, chill out and remember if the panny has taught us anything, you have a lifetime to make things “perfect”, love a rather drunk “nurseyboi” Tom
