Lost is an American drama TV show that first aired in 2004 and is consistently ranked by critics as one of the greatest television series of all time. According to Wikipedia, users of IMDbPro gave Lost the highest average ranking for any television series during the first ten years of the website's operation. It's a dizzying array of achievements when you consider how divisive the show became in its final few seasons. I've dropped the occasional joke about my dislike for the finale several times over the years but today is the day to sit down and discuss how it came to be such an integral part of my teenage cocoon years.
