Avatar is a 2009 American epic science fiction yarn directed by Jim Cameron that enters into a category of recent pods that might be titled 'cultural phenomena that people don't actually give a shit about'. Do the special visual effects hold up over a decade later? Does anyone care? I personally really like the movie but it's an odd fact to consider that the majority of people that saw the once highest grossing film of all time probably can't name any of the characters.

My fella adores this film! He always says interstellar and avatar are his two favourite films, ever! I think he’s bonkers! I feel like it dragged on way too much and I’ve only watched it the once- however my fella is forcing me to watch it this holiday season. *sigh* I love to listen to soundtracks and Wowzer, avatar has a bloody brilliant one. It’s atmospheric and exhilarating. One to listen too. Thank you for a fabulous year of ‘full of shit’ and bring on another year to help us all through, what will probably be a shit show of a year. Love ya. Bye

May be late to the party, but I've listened to a few episodes both today and yesterday to catch up with Full of It. Sorry to be returning to older topics but: Avatar - Always felt it was just a flash in the pan - imagine spending all that money on something which ended up having zero real cultural impact, and even the big selling point of 3D kind of passed (when was the last time anyone saw a film in 3D?). They're now making a second and third thanks to the overwhelming demand of no people, and not sure I'll bother to be honest, even if we're allowed back into the cinema. Friends - Agree with your assessment of Ross as being a crap character, seems like it started the trend of sitcoms having the main character being the worst character (see also Ted from How I met your Mother, who is just one of the worst sitcom characters ever made). Also I second the suggestion that you play Phasmophobia. You can play it online as co-op with friends, but it works quite well solo too. Wizard of Oz (sorry, I'm only a month and a half late to the party) - unfortunately I'm also on the list of LGBTQ+ people who haven't seen the original, but I did see bits of the Return to Oz sequel. A lot of it still haunts my dreams at night, though, so it isn't ideal. Sorry for the long comment but thanks again for your podcast hospitality as usual and hope you both have or have had a good Christmas/festive period.

Edit - shortly after listening, you put up the trifle video, so that was timely and apropoo (is that how you spell it?) and it led me down the hole of the Native New Yorker video and that SNL “I think it could be beef” sketch, just loving the chaotic energy in both of them.
