The Simpsons is an American animated sitcom and the longest running sitcom in history. You'd be hard pushed to find someone who hasn't heard of or seen an episode of The Simpsons but while it's so ingrained in culture, does anyone really give a shit about it? I would've once considered myself a big fan but it occurred to me recently that I haven't thought about it in any significant way for a long time. I only really considered it again after watching an episode of Big Mouth which by osmosis has to have been influenced by the residents of Evergreen Terrace.
