//TW: mentions of child abuse//

Hi guys!

Some of you may have noticed that we recently decided to remove the latest episode of Full Of It without warning. This episode was about Michael Jackson and his accusations of child abuse. This was a requested topic and was always gonna be a tricky one to tackle but we just wanted to clarify a few things, as a response to some of the comments we’ve received and to let you know that we aren’t copping out and trying to pretend nothing happened.

We weren’t trying to “justify” any abuse committed by MJ here. When we discussed the chain of events that may have lead to this alleged abuse our intention was merely to explore the idea that MJ may not be a totally evil monster despite still potentially having committed this abuse. If what is alleged truly happened then MJ’s intentions do not change the fact that these victims were abused. We were just trying to explain an idea of how MJ may not have been aware the extent of how inappropriate his behaviour was.  We also wanna just say that these podcasts are always totally frank and honest and merely our own opinions. We’re not trying to persuade anyone either way and we’re not saying anyone is right or wrong. All we’re doing is chatting about how we feel about the topic.We’re not claiming to be right and therefore any contrasting view is wrong!

In reference to the discussion of McCauley Caulkin’s defence of MJ - this does not make MJ innocent and we do not see it as evidence to discredit the victims who spoke out. However, it is a high profile and important part of this overall story and we couldn’t not mention it.

Lastly, we did not intend to imply that we both need sufficient evidence to believe abuse victims who come forward. The case of MJ is complex and unique as is every case of abuse. It just so happens that we have come across several videos and articles which directly discredit many important parts of the stories many of MJ’s victims have told, and this has played a big part in forming our opinions about it all.  In our eyes and previously coming from an open minded, neutral point of view, there is a substantial amount of evidence that either defends MJ or contradicts numerous important parts of Robson and Safechuck’s stories. Nobody is in the position to say with certainty whether or not MJ is guilty or innocent of these crimes. We cannot say for certain that he did not commit them regardless of his intent. But it is important to make sure opinions on the matter are well informed and are based on more than emotional reactions, one way or the other.

We wanna apologise for covering such a sensitive and delicate subject as it clearly created a negative atmosphere for some listeners that we did not intend on creating. We want you guys to feel safe when watching or listening to the content we make and it was a mistake to tackle something like this when our goal as creators has always been to provide you with an escape from the stress and nastiness that can often envelope us in real life. We’re sorry to those who were offended by the topic and we’ll take more care to avoid such volatile discussions in the future.

There will be a replacement episode of Full Of It posted this evening. All our love puffins x

I totally completely understand the issues some may have had with the episode, but I do think you both explained your points well enough and there was warning in the ep RE the content. I enjoyed the episode, and I think discussion specifically about the Leaving Neverland doc feeling VERY shady is an important part of the ongoing conversation about MJ. ❤️❤️❤️

This was actually going to be the only podcast of yours that I wasn’t going to listen to. Not because I would have been triggered but because I find the entire thing just so bleak. You were brave to take on the topic in the first place but I’m even more impressed with this extremely thoughtful, respectful response to those that the discussion hurt. There are many reasons that I support you both but your deep respect for your supporters and your dedication to creating a safe, fun environment while still encouraging constructive critique and thoughtful discourse is a huge reason I’m here with you. I feel safe here but not babied. Please continue to experiment and challenge yourselves and us. Love you both. ❤️❤️❤️
