I hope I'm wrong but even though in the game Anna says she and Maverick broke up because they got absorbed in their work, I'm now getting the feeling the real reason they broke up is because of what happened to Miles. We know that Maverick's personality changed forever for the worse that day, and I'm guessing it affected their relationship as well. Once again, I hope I'm wrong but I'm also guessing it was those suspicious pills Miles and Anna took that caused it all. Anna said he "was like a wild animal" and Miles said the pills "did a number on him too" but he didn't say what the effects were for him.
