Rexal, being far down the line of succession, was not really in a hurry to finish the nomadic rite of passage required of the Apex's juveniles. He has finally tasted freedom away from the torments and intrigues of his Pride and so is determined to savor each proverbial meat their idyllic realm has to offer before his inevitable homecoming. But to his gradual horror, much like his kin, the perfection only runs fur-deep.
