What's up chooms, here is this month's animation featuring Rebecca from Cyberpunk Edgerunners!

The timing for this animation was pretty fortunate as I had just finished watching the show before I started working on it. I'll be honest, I thought most people preferred Lucy so it was a bit surprising to see Rebecca smash the poll like Adam Smasher smashed.. well anyways personally I like them both though I would probably pick Lucy if asked to choose a favorite. I suppose that doesn't really matter at this point judging by how the latest poll is going, but in any case we'll see what happens.

The character designs have some pretty bold colors which I suppose is the cyberpunk aesthetic, so I decided to try and create a very colorful scene to match Rebecca's outfit and I think the colors turned out really good, though all the pink and blue kept reminding me of vaporwave as I was working on it.

I also feel like I'm getting the hang of the camera tools in Resolve 17 and I've really been enjoying using them improve the flow of the animations. Though to be honest, I do end up having to restrain myself pretty often from going too crazy with the vfx and camera movement. Hopefully I can find a nice middle ground eventually that elevates the flow of the animations without being excessive. In any case, I'll continue to include versions without all the effects for those who find them to be too much.
