Tess is my favorite thing about the later seasons of Smallville other than Lois and Clark dynamics

You know how a lot of fans had a breaking point when it came to the controversial ships of this show like Clana or Lexana? Well for me, THIS episode is what made me give up on Chlimmy. I was a big Chlimmy shipper since S6. They just clicked so well. As much as a lot of people refuse to admit it, Chlimmy does suffer from a lot of the same issues as Clana. Trust issues, jealousy, and too much on again-off again. Since these two weren't the leads, more people were willing to let it slide. This was the episode where I went "screw it, i'm done with these two." I didn't jump on the Chlavis bandwagon either, but I stopped caring whether these two worked it out. I love the hallucination element of this episode though. I know the episode implies that Jimmy wasn't hallucinating in the beginning but the environment matches his actual hallucination (dark and empty). I know this was the writers' way of confusing us but I call inconsistency on that. Edit: I don't blame Jimmy for all their problems, just like I don't blame Lana for all of Clana's problems. But like Clana, I'm tired of seeing the same conflict in this relationship just repeat itself.

I was 10000000000% team Jimmy in this episode.

One of the things I didn't like about season 8 was its treatment of Jimmy and how it almost ruined his character, like why would Chloe believe someone she's known for a few months over some she's known for years.

Wouldn't you say they ruined Chloe's character more? I mean Jimmy was just acting on the circumstances around him. Drugged, traumatised and scared, of course he would act that way, but damn Chloe, considering all she went through when people thought she was crazy and Clark believed her, you would thing she would give the same benefit of the doubt to Jimmy.

The show for some reason always back peddled when it came to his character development. He was right about Davis yet Chloe didn't believe him her own husband should she have given him the benefit of the doubt.
