I’m happy to announce that the first tech demo of The Adventures of Kincaid is ready for you guys to play!

I really hope that you’ll enjoy it as much as we enjoyed working on it.

This first build encompasses two main areas: A small outdoor section that serves as a tutorial and the temple ruins.

Thank you to everyone who has already been supporting us before we even had our first demo available! ^w^

Soon, Nullbunny will chime in here with a post regarding our development process and where we are planning to go from here. The next demo will focus more on Kincaid’s maneuverability and combat system.

Controls

You can play the game with a controller or a keyboard. Keyboard controls are: Arrow keys for movement and A/S for jump and attack.

Fullscreen mode: Alt+Enter

The game appears to not be working correctly. I hit a wall 5 cells in and I cant proceed. I cant jump up to the ledge above either.

So, my only complaint is the switch in the first pit? to get past the wall to get into the temple, is a little too well hidden. I only found it by accident. They blend in just a little too well.

There's a pit a few screens back, that has two kobolds on it, When you go down, there's a little bug on a ledge, and a kobold in the water. Top right corner has a switch that blends in pretty well, you gotta jump to press it

if i get the time time tomorrow i will record the game i just run thought to see how the games was ^_^. i didn't really see any bug so far.

Hey, so. I think I found a bug. I was testing to see if holding the attack button made the character attack fast enough to never get hit by kobold sling shots. Answer is that it is not. (The little shots will eventually get through if you stand there long enough) However I ran into an odd thing, where if I was just holding down the attack button, and got dazed, and caught by the kobold, and let the animation play out. After the animation the attack button would not work until after I took another point of damage. I closed the game, and reopened it, and tried to replicate the issue, and it was still there. I've also tried changing screens to see if it wears off, but it seems to keep going until I take another point of damage. I just thought I'd let you know.

I dont see any difference between this build and the free build...

The tech demos are basically the same. Going forward the public version will lag behind the patreon build for a couple of versions. The next build will be out in a couple of days! ^w^
