Some more Trenton content. Recently I've started dabbling in more world building and lore, and while I personally feel (as always) like its super cringe, I am also very proud of what comes out of it. 

In this page, we see an older Trenton... well into his 50s, but still working. After the war, he spends some time starting a family, before being asked by a friend of his grandfather's to help their secret agency out with eliminating/stabilizing supernatural threats around the world... as Trenton had encountered a fair bit of this himself during his time in service, his knowledge is very valuable as is his combat expertise. Unfortunately for Trenton, he gets paired up with the son of one of his dearest friends from the war.

Rooney and Trenton are very close, but Rooney's son, Spritz, is a far cry from his father's modesty. A boy genius who rocketed through school and graduated rather young, Spritz followed this up by accepting an offer from this same agency to act as an investigator. Whether he did this out of genuine concern for the world or just to see if he could one-up his old man is unclear, but I think it's more of a mix of the two. Trenton likes Spritz well enough, but he is kind of a smartass and likes to tease the older wolf about the fact he's aging.

In general I'm really fond of how this conversation flows. I think some of the implications of the discussion might be hard to pick up on due to the age of the subjects. For example, Trenton mentions hating John Wayne's acting but its also because he was something of a conservative mascot at the time. He likes Bogart but hates Casablanca, not for any political reason, but because he finds it to be really boring, despite being considered a masterpiece of film. Trenton doesn't care if something is "true art" or not, he just likes to have fun, and although Bogart's other films were lesser productions, he likes them for being adventurous.

It was just fun to show a little of Trenton's character through these things. There will be more to come, I love writing these characters. I'm sorry my comics are so spread out and kinda all over the place, but, hey, they are all the same universe, at least.
