When I saw the notification about your post, I hoped it was already coloured but looks promising. Learned digital painting a bit at school too. An extra to 3D modelling.

I would say you have greater skills than I do as I do not have the equipment to practice.

Best to just practice with the tools you've got! I'm much better at drawing traditionally, so my artworks are drawn first in pencil/ink, then all the colouring is digital. Back when I only used a mouse to colour it was still do-able
