September 2023 Sketches 8 - Aether (Genshin Impact) (Patreon)

Here's a picture featuring Aether from Genshin Impact. The idea was suggested by Tezu.

"Genshin (Aether)- This is a bit of a silly idea but in Fontaine there's this minor side quest line where you help a woman learn to fish (albeit a bit directly in some ways..), and since Aether's arrival means she is going to catch an incredible fish, she basically calls him a fishing god and even suggests making offerings as he deserves. There's even a dialogue option that makes Aether sound particularly amenable to that idea, so i thought itd be fun if aether keeps getting offerings as a fishing god which make him get bigger and stronger (so he can help people catch more fish haha)."

The word spread all over Fontaine, and even the rest of Teyvat, of this "Fishing Deity" boy blesssing fishermen's bounty. Aether, with this very accidental event, people truly thought that he was responsible of that, leading them to offer tasty seafood cooked from their bounty, as tribute for the Fishing Deity.

Aether wasn't sure what to think about this whole thing...but his stomach got the best of him, as the food was too tasty to refuse, getting fed by the many fishermen many  meals a day. One thing that's for sure, there was something off with the food, making Aether grow each day that passed with his new "deity" diet...maybe there was some truth to the rumors!
