July 2023 Sketches 14 - Zidane n Bartz (Final Fantasy Dissidia) (Patreon)

Here's a sequence featuring Zidane and Bartz from the Final Fantasy series, specifically Dissidia. The idea was suggested by Shin.

"Zidane and Bartz (Final Fantasy Dissiddia)-Zidane, determined to be as much of an asset to the side of good as he can possibly be, trains himself vigorously against opponent after opponent, leveling up and growing huge as a result. Impressed by his traveling companions gains, Bartz uses his abilities as a mimic to instantly copy Zidane's gains, matching him exactly... much to the chagrin of Squall, the third member of their group, now stuck between his two enormous, energetic, and loud party members figuratively... and sometimes literally!"

Squall never thought that things could get more annoying by having both Zidane and Bartz on his side at all times...but a small lil' trinket found by the short, blond thief was about to prove him quite wrong.

Turns out that the trinket Zidane found let him absorb the crystals that Manniquins (The main enemies in Dissidia), and add it to his size and strength! Only a few fights showed quite the effect on his body, easily passing Squall's height. 

Squall already had enough of the lil', annoying chaos goblin, but the bigger he got, the more insufferable he became, showing off at all times, pushing Squall around even more, teasing him about how much stronger he's getting...and to make things worse, Bartz decided to use his Mimic ability...and grew just as big as Zidane whenever the blond thief grew bigger!  So now he had to deal with two growing, obnoxious goofballs who only seemed to become more annoying the bigger and more powerful they became. At first, Squall could easily handle them both in a fight...but as they got bigger, Squall could barely put a dent on their bodies even with the strongest of his powers...the two growing bois easily overpowering him, either for fun, or to show him who's in charge in case he tried to get in the way of their fun.

Seems like the journey beyond was just going to become harder and harder from now on...
