April 2022 Sketches 10 - Link (Hyrule Warriors) (Patreon)

Here's a picture featuring Link from Hyrule Warriors. THe idea was suggested by Badgermancer.

"Link towering above a Hylian army, Hyrule Warriors style"

Link was the most reliable soldier in the Hyrulean army, everyone asking for his assistance whenever they had to go to a mission, and he was more than happy to help them out.

One day, a soldier was wondering if Link ever asked for something in exchange for his help. He approached Link with this question, and the blond soldier just answered with softly shaking his head and gently smiling...until his stomach answered for him, loudly growling showing how hungry he was. The soldier, staggering a bit from the sudden noise, got an idea. He kept on finding Fairy Food after the missions he went through, and since he doesn't have a fairy, he offered it to Link! Link, with how hungry he was, decided to oblige to the kind soldier's offer....

The soldier watched how Link started with a few pieces, and then he kept on fitting more in his mouth...and more, and MORE! He seemed to REALLY like fairy food! Until he emptied all the lil bags the soldier handed to Link, the blond soldier patting his slightly distented belly from the satisfaction, letting some air out through a small burp. The soldier was more than happy to see that his offer made Link happy! And so he decided to keep on gathering more Fairy Food in his missions, and giving it all to Link to thank him for everything he's done for the Hyrulean Army! Link wasn't used for this much gratefulness...but he was more than happy to get more of that tasty food...not knowing the effects that they had on his body.

A new cycle started for this soldier. More than a fighting, he started to focus to look for any nook and cranny where he could find more Fairy Food to gather for Link. He even convinced other soldiers to gather it, explaining that it was for Link, and with how well known and appreciated Link was between the soldiers, all of them agreed to help out!

Once the battles were over, all the soldiers that gathered the food, including the head that decided to start this whole thing, approached Link with all the bags of food. Link seemed a little overwhelmed with all this attention...but once he tried one of the snacks, his hunger took over and started devouring all of the contents of the bags! Leaving all of them emptied of food...the soldiers not being able to help notice how Link's figure seemed to grow slightly bigger with each snack he ate...

The cycle continued, Link getting a whole buffet after each battle, leaving no snack out of his expanding belly....his changes becoming even more noticeable by the soldiers with each "snack time" for Link that passed. He started from being one of the shortest soldiers, to match the height of the tallest soldiers...then surpassing that, and reaching the size of the biggest monsters they've encountered! And he kept on growing after that! And honestly, both Link and the rest of the army liked this change, since it only made Link stronger, and increased his effectiveness in battle, sometimes defeating the whole enemy army by just bulldozing through them, stomping his way to the enemy base!

Seems like this Legend will only become bigger from now on~
