March 2021 Sketches 10 (Patreon)

Here's a picture featuring Riku from Kingdom Hearts. The idea was suggested by Ren.

"how about Riku From Kingdom Hearts 3, discovering a new way to consume the darkness by absorbing power from defeated heartless, causing him to grow with each enemy he beats."

Preparing for the challenges ahead, Riku travelled to a world where he could smell a high amount of Heartless crawling around. And the more Heartless there are, the more training and experience he'll get. 

Already experienced from previous battles, he easily defeated wave after wave of enemies. If anything, it was so easy that it felt like they weren't a challenge anymore, and that he wasn't getting any experience anymore (cuz he was already lvl 100)

He started to think of a way to get stronger...then it came to mind. The fact that he's been involved with Darkness so much, and how he's been able to take full control of it, he figured...he might as well ABSORB other sources of Darkness.

Putting his Keyblade away, he exposed to the enemy without any weapons at hand, keeping his mind focused, channeling his body to find a way to absorb darkness. The Heartless, seeing how he seemed defenseless, rushed towards him in swarms. The moment the first Heartless came into range, a small and vicious Shadow, it was grabbed from the face by Riku almost instantly, Riku having a confident smile in his face. Before anything else happened, Riku was covered by a bunch of Shadows, no sign of him under them.

The Shadows kept still for a moment, confused at how this powerful hero wasn't defending himself...until

*BOOM* They all were sent flying a by a huge explosion coming from under the Shadows. Some of them even being destroyed from the impact, while the stragglers looked back to see what happened...only to stagger from what they were able to see.

A towering Riku, easily crushing a bunch of Shadows in his hands, while the Darkness was being absorbed directly into Riku's body, which, while letting out an ominous rumble, kept on expanding bigger. Not even a Darkside was able to reach his knees...OR physique, his bulky body seemed like he could easily crush any swarm of Heartless, Unversed, Nobodies...or ANY swarm really!

Desperate, the Heartless started to call out for backup, summoning a bunch of Darksides...not knowing that they were just going to serve as fuel for Riku's growing body. THe moment these towering Heartless appeared...they were easily picked up by Riku, only using one hand to lift one of them up! And crushing them with his trong grip, all the big amounts of Darkness sipping into Riku'd body. Them being much bigger sources of energy, Riku's growths started to scale up. Towering over the mountains that were around the area.

Riku, menacingly, looked down at the rest of the darkness, none of them bigger than his toes, and lifted his foot. Easily crushing any Shadow beneath him, the darkness kept on flowing into him. At this rate...he might not need any Gummi Ship to travel through words, and no Keyblade to deal with anyone that defied him or his friends.
