Facts about Unlock: In this dystopic, vampire universe, Humans were able to subdue Vampires. Now, the only way a Vampire can survive is through a contract with a wealthy Human.
Among Humans that made such a contract, it's customary that they shouldn't feed their Vampires directly. Blood draws are much preferred and way more proper. Biting is seen as a fetish and strongly implies a sexual relationship with the Vampire... which is considered a deviant thing.

Ermes never had a Vampire and has to learn the etiquette still, that's why he awkwardly offers his wrist on his very first time with Dario.
