September Membership Changes / Cambios en las Membresías de Septiembre (Patreon)

Due to the opinions and suggestions of various patrons, from the month of September all memberships will be modified in terms of the rewards that are received, these characteristics will be modified during this month, as well as new memberships, but you will not worry, if you already paid for the month of August before day 5th, you will continue to have access to the previous rewards for the rest of the month.

Throughout this time we have been able to study the behavior of patrons regarding the rewards they request, we have also received their messages and read their suggestions, among which the following stand out:

*Memberships of a single content type:

Most patrons do not request all the rewards they have access to as they are only interested in specific content like "Videos Only" "GIF Animations Only" "Images Only" etc.

*Too cheap to be true:

Some patrons told us that we offer a lot of content and charge very little, perhaps because we are from Mexico and we are used to selling our work for very little, but patrons and artists from other countries have explained this point very well, also let's not forget the commissions that Patreon charge. and PayPal. We are beginners in Patreon, but we have to learn to handle this, so we do not change the memberships for a long time, to study the public.

*More difficult more expensive:

While the content is more complex its value will increase, like the long videos, for example. Most of the customers who pay for a custom animation do not request voices, so we invested in voice actresses and an editor to bring this additional service to them on each video.

*Patreon must be cheaper than Gumroad:

Absolutely, we want to continue attracting more people to Patreon and for this it has to have some advantage unlike Gumroad where the content is more expensive for being sold individually. So our memberships will always have much more appeal and offer than Gumroad.

*Group rewards:

Many patrons want to give us their ideas about an animation or drawing that they would like to see, so do not be shy, send a message with your idea whenever you want, since from time to time we will make a compilation of the best ideas to put them to vote on Patreon , the idea with the most votes will come true by us.

Hopefully this does not bother many, but as you know, this is not a hobby for us, it is a job. In Mexico, design and animation jobs are very poorly paid, worse than in other countries, not to mention that opportunities are scarce and now more for the pandemic, that's why many people like us do better as freelancers.
We will try not to exaggerate with prices since we understand that we also have patrons from Latin America, and we hope to continue fulfilling the fantasies of more people for a long time.

Debido a las opiniones y sugerencias de diversos mecenas, a partir del mes de Septiembre todas las membresías serán modificadas en cuanto a las recompensas que se reciben, dichas características podrás verlas modificadas en el transcurso de este mes, así como nuevas membresías, pero no te preocupes, si ya pagaste el mes de Agosto antes del día 5 seguirás teniendo acceso a las recompensas anteriores durante el resto del mes.

A lo largo de este tiempo hemos podido estudiar el comportamiento de los mecenas respecto a las recompensas que solicitan, también hemos recibido sus mensajes y leído sus sugerencias, entre las cuales destacan:

*Membresías de un solo tipo de contenido:

La mayoría de los mecenas no solicitan todas las recompensas a las que tienen acceso, ya que solo están interesados en contenido específico como "Solo Videos" "Solo Animaciones GIF" "Sólo Imágenes", etc.

*Demasiado barato para ser verdad:

Algunos mecenas nos comentaron que ofrecemos mucho contenido y cobramos muy poco, quizás porque somos de México y estamos acostumbrados a vendernos por muy poca cantidad, pero mecenas y artistas de otros países nos han explicado muy bien este punto, sin mencionar las comisiones que cobran Patreon y PayPal.

Somos principiantes en Patreon, pero tenemos que ir aprendiendo a manejar esto, por eso no cambiamos las membresías por un largo tiempo, para estudiar al público.

*Más difícil más caro:

Mientras el contenido sea más complejo de realizar su valor incrementará, como los videos largos, por ejemplo. La mayoría de los clientes que pagan por una animación personalizada no solicitan voces, así que nosotros invertimos en actrices de voz y un editor para traerles este servicio adicional en cada video.

*Patreon debe ser más barato que Gumroad:

Absolutamente, queremos seguir atrayendo más gente a Patreon y para ello tiene que tener alguna ventaja a diferencia de Gumroad donde el contenido es más caro por venderse de forma individual. Así que nuestras membresías siempre tendrán mucho más atractivo y oferta que Gumroad.

*Recompensas en grupo:

Muchos mecenas nos quieren dar sus ideas sobre alguna animación o dibujo que les gustaría ver, así que no seas tímido, envia un mensaje con tu idea cuando quieras, ya que cada cierto tiempo haremos una recopilación de las mejores ideas para ponerlas a votación en Patreon, la idea con más votos se hará realidad por nosotros.

Esperemos que esto no incomode a muchos, pero como saben, esto no es un hobbie para nosotros, es un trabajo. En México los trabajos de diseño y animación son muy mal pagados, peor que en otros países, sin mencionar que las oportunidades son escasas y ahora más por la pandemia, es por eso que a mucha gente como nosotros nos va mejor siendo freelancers.
Intentaremos no exagerar con los precios ya que comprendemos que también tenemos mecenas de Latinoamérica, y esperamos seguir cumpliendo las fantasías de más personas por mucho tiempo.
