Exclusive dev update of No escape: Game edition! (252) (Pixiv Fanbox)

Game development

I’m about half-way done with the loan shark fail-state’s images: Counter’s currently standing at 25 base images (without taking in account the con and not-so-con splits) and I expect it to hit around the ~60 before all it’s all said and done. 💪

So in this dev report let’s talk some more about the upcoming loan shark NPC! He’s quite a slick dude called Jules, and will appear just at the right time in the game: Or to be more precise the loan shark will pop up (with his sweet ride) around main street; after Kat’s encounters the bridge “block” in Cybercity, and needs a big stack of creds to buy the free-movement pass from Lysi... Or just upgrades and EMP grenades or something. 😏

And the loan shark’s happy to provide these funds! Though he doesn’t do so from the good of his heart (of course); since he’s asking a good bit of interest on it when it’s time for Kathleen to pay him back. And rest assured that paying him back she will; since if she can’t pay in funds when the time arrives... Well, let’s just say Jewel will get a co-worker in that case; and quite a similar looking one that is. >;3

The loan shark NPC will hang around after all the events of cybercity; so you can revisit him (and see his content) even if you’ve already cleared the VR-world. Anyhow I’m still on track to have all the images done by Wednesday; afterwards I’ll start writing and implementing the bad end into the game.

Seat?: “Wggghh fghhh! Wghhh ngghh gh ghhhd ghhhd ghf ghhh!”

Kathleen: ‘Wait... Is that car seat making a sound? Bloody hell I need to shake this wooziness-‘

Kathleen: ‘There, that’s better. Now why can’t I move my-‘

Kathleen: “Hmffgh?”

Kathleen: “HMMFFFFGHHH?!”
