Exclusive dev update of No escape: Game edition! (244) (Pixiv Fanbox)

Game development

No escape: Game edition V0.29.1 has been released last Sunday for Tier III, brining the previous dev cycle to a close: Apart from some quick hotfixes on the launch day it seems the latest build is mostly bug-free, and feedback about it has been largely positive; which I (and the farmhands/Pixie) appreciate! >;3

That said there has been quite a buildup of typo reports, continuity errors (or gaps), balancing issues and other general plugs to fill (like a new epilogue aboard the prisonship to reflect Kathleen’s progression through the later VR-worlds). So the next update will be a big quality-of-life one; in which I’m going to tackle some things of that (long overdue) list!

V0.29.5 plans:

For clarity; a big quality-of-life update focusses on improving content already in-game and expanding on it; opposed to the regular updates which push the game (chronologically) forward. I don’t often do these updates since my priorities lie more with keeping the game move forward, but the last big quality-of-life patch was in- September 2022, so it’s looong overdue. 😅

Besides fixing all those typo’s, balance issues and continuity errors, I do also plan to put in plenty of rubbery smut with the update as well. My addition list (in no particular order) for V0.29.5 contains at the (very least) the following:

- The lost sands: Add in a trap on the pyramid’s second floor; which serves as a “tutorial” for traps later encountered in-game.

- Cyberon city: Extend the security drone fail-state with a small playable segment in which drone Kat patrols the factory. And add in a new (shady) NPC from who Kat can borrow money... With (kinky) consequences if she fails to pay it back (read: A fail-state)!

- Thornvine: Extend the fuckpillow fail-state with a small epilogue scene (Kat hung up on the wall as an ornament).

- Epilogue (prisonship): Add in a third epilogue scene for Thornvine onwards; in which the twins smell something fushy with Kathleen... And opt to do something about that. >:3

So the update’s still a rubbery filled package of smut; albeit more spread over the past VR-worlds (and beyond). Update cycle for the big quality-of-life patch is also shorter than the regular ones (since I’m carpet bombing previously finished areas); I’m aiming to have it out somewhere early-mid April. 💪

A tight squeeze!

I’ve also finished up the final images needed for the comic, and will now start writing out the final pages of A tight Squeeze: The final chapter turned out to be quite the chunky thing; standing at 80 base images alone, compared to the 44 of the previous chapter. As such I’ll likely be splitting the final chapter into two, though rest assured that I still plan to release them close upon each other; probably within a week or two between them. ;3

The first of these final chapters is planned to go out of the door early next month (March), and I mean really early: If possible coming Sunday, and if not then early next week. I’m saying “if possible” since I’ll also be upgrading to a new computer tomorrow(!), and if all goes well I can hop right into Photoshop to post-process the images, which should give me ample time till Sunday. If I do run into issues this will obviously throw a wrench in those plans, hence I leave myself small bit of breathing room there. I’ll keep you folks posted! 😉😋

Teasers of the (final) stretch of the snek comic today! No explanatory text to along with them today, but I reckon the shots largely speak for themselves... Though I will say this isn’t as permanent as it might look, though this will be explained by the scaley queen in the comic itself. Stay tuned for when it drops in the coming month! ^^
