Hi, all. Seeing as how the response has been strong after posting the recent pics, I'll make this post public. Thanks to new and returning people. Love to know there's still interest in what I do. This post is to highlight two things, both having to do with my previous session. The immersion breaker above does exactly what it says - it shows what the actual session looks like when you strip away the finished veneer every capable artist tries to put on. There's a lot that the camera view doesn't pick up (for good reason). You can see from the shots up top, it's a world of hurt. Mostly an empty void to keep my GPU intact and proper lighting only applied when rendering. The background is totally stolen from a realtor's snapshot. Speaking of which, the rest of the pics in this post show Kate's former L.A. home that just sold a few months ago (right before I started my session with her). I was struggling trying to find a suitable environment, going months without settling on anything. Then it hit me to just use her home as I figured it would provide something suitable where she was cooked up for the past couple of years. She's big on fitness and her pets so those influenced the direction. And with some tweaking, I believe I got the right angle. Not a perfect replication of her living room, but enough to pass a middling likeness test for both her face and her home. I ran through a lot of face tryouts (see raw transfers above) before landing on two I felt I could edit into the shot. Bright shots = easier, clearer swaps. Anyway, dropping all this on you today since I didn't do any substantial work on my current session. Thanks again for all those supporting and paying attention to what I'm doing.
