Flying troopers or also known as "fighter angels" are special air support unit of the imperial ground force, they are selected from elite ground heavy troopers that had served long enough and are trained to control their flight suit naturally like their own limbs.

They were sent on an emergency mission to destroy a captured Imperial's weapon factory, the rebels were heavily armed with captured equipment. As they couldn't made it in time, the weapons were rolled out and turned against themselves.

From this mission failure, it was proven that the existing armors and flying performances are insufficient, the Imperial ground force would designed more heavily armored flying suits, which would only be reserved for the ace fighter angels.

There were 250 angels lost in this mission. Most were recover

ed in pieces, but thanks to automated processing facilities, the eggs and sperms were preserved in time for further soldier selective breeding.

フライングトルーパー、通称「ファイターエンジェル」は、帝国軍の地上部隊の特殊航空支援部隊で、長く勤務したエリート地上重兵士から選ばれ、自分の手足のように自然にフライトスーツをコントロールできるよう訓練されている。

エンジェルは、反乱軍が捕獲した帝国の兵器工場を破壊する緊急ミッションに派遣されたが、反乱軍は捕獲した装備で重装備をしていた。

この作戦の失敗から、既存の装甲と飛行性能では不十分であることが判明し、帝国地上軍はより重装甲の飛行スーツを設計し、それはエースファイターの天使たちだけに許されることになる。
