I manually corrected an AI generated image to remove artifacts, other flaws, and enhance the image. This is eventually how I want to produce works, however, this is not quite feasible yet. All the current AI tools are either heavily censored (because idiot companies value their personal morals over money), or the models are too primitive, containing lots of artifacts and deformations. Even the tool I used to generate this image is censored, it just does a bad job of detecting r-18 sometimes. The modifications made to this image, (not including the winged alt), took approximately 2.5 hours, which is decent. That is even quicker than template illustrations, which average at 4 hours each, and can get repetitive. My conditions for moving on to producing AI assisted works more frequently are: 1 - The models must be uncensored and advanced so I have more flexibility on what is generated. 2 - The models must be able to generate proper anatomy proportions and faces faithful to characters' original design. 3 - The models must be advanced enough to where modifications take no longer than 1 hour. The evolution is AI is exciting! Who knows what kind of tools we'll have to work with a year or two down the line? With the help of AI, single individuals may even be able to eventually produce animated movies at the level billion dollar studios currently produce! Open source will also continue to evolve, so censorship won't always be an issue. (Except in Japan, unless they decide to abolish their absolutely nonsensical censorship laws. Gotta add that tiny white bar or the artwork is obscene, right? 🤡)
