■ Regarding transactions for items

Many transactions take place on BOOTH, pixivFANBOX, and the pixiv Requests feature.

Some were found to violate the pixiv Terms of Use, Article 14 "Prohibited Conduct", Item 26 "Using the Services to display, sell, purchase, register, or engage in other transactions involving the products set forth below".

Furthermore, the rules or policies of Brand Protection for Card Networks transactions for content that is patently offensive, unethical, or promote criminal activity; such as, by way of example and not limitation:

・Sexual exploitation of a minor

・Incest

・Bestiality

・Rape (or any other non-consensual sexual behavior)

・Non-consensual mutilation of a person or body part

Under the Service Master Terms of Use, we ask that all users check for items that include the above content on BOOTH, pixivFANBOX, and the pixiv Requests feature, and if such content is found, delete the items or set them to private.

■ Terms of Use update for December 15th, 2022

We will be updating Article 14 "Prohibited Conduct", Item 26 "Using the Services to display, sell, purchase, register, or engage in other transactions involving the products set forth below", in order to clarify the standards for items and content that fall under prohibited transactions.

The updated Terms of Use will be revealed in late November, and go into effect on Thursday, December 15th.

i trusted Pixiv to held it's pride and not following western's standard, and now this... i don't have any alternative platform anymore, so i will wait and see until i caught in the ban wave or maybe survived but toning down my content theme.

Have you considered setting up on Subscribestar? That's what most people seem to be doing.

Anonymous

i don't entirely see a reason why you'd be caught in the ban wave, id say the thing that will catch a lot of people is the use of underage characters in nsfw settings. as far as i can see, your page doesn't have anything with any of the new rules in place, neither do i as well. i think we should be both in the clear.

Now,I hope Russia can reach western's heart. Really enjoy your underwater arts,Sensei.

・Non-consensual put some fake text on the images with characters saying they consent lmao

rou271

i might caught on loli, rape, or ryona (i think point 5 is talking about ryona/guro).. so basically, i will safe if i avoid them.

Akibunni

You have long been one of my favorite artists, if you jump ship i will follow for sure, but do whaterver you think is right, whether it be diversification or leaving.

Anonymous

I love your works, I don't want to lost you

Ever heard of fantia? The user Fox who made uw products like holdover or blue guardian margaret uses it and posts lots of uw content there.

rou271

it uses credit card like subscribestar for payout.. so i cannot,

rou271

maybe i'll try toning down my content. i'm sure an "Accident" would be acceptable, or yeah those "i consent" tricks xD

I’m reminded of something a user I follow on Patreon does. They use Dropbox to contain their art and a lot of that art can be questionable at times as well. They tend to drop a link in their patreon messages containing the art. Other than that can’t think of anything else.

rou271

yeah that was what i do in patreon as well pixiv, they detected it and i got another warning

rou271

patreon discord should be safe, i've shared tons of dropbox link uncensored stuff and yet no warning so far, unless someone reported me

Ratuno

Sadly I don't know too, website where can publish my art with freedom.. even I'm considering make my own website to do it..

rou271

i'm afraid as long we depend on mastercard, they will still control the content.

Hello. - Hello. This matter has been getting a lot of feedback in Japan. We can't say for sure until the official update of the Terms of Service on December 15, 2022, but among Japanese users, Article 14 "Prohibited Activities", paragraph 26 "Using the Service to display, sell, purchase, register or otherwise deal in the products specified below", as suggested by PIXIV We see this as important. Apparently, there was an unscrupulous person who used FANBOX to sell live-action child pornography and snuff films, which are not illustrations, and many people are of the opinion that the revision may have been made with this in mind. It is difficult to say at this stage how PIXIV will actually change.

rou271

ooh! thank you for the information! 🤩, we will see then, i hope pixiv will stay strong to it's own principles and not following western standard.

Anonymous

I heard they are having a lot of talk regarding this in Japan. I really hope the government and Pixiv would be able to do something about it.

Anonymous

really sucks to hear that. but can't you use Gumroad? I remembered you selling your art there as well. If not an option you could make a discord.

Anonymous

I hope so, too. It would be CRAZY for Pixiv to suddenly ban half of its content!

Anonymous

Gumroad might work if you can use their service!

rou271

yeah! i'm thinking to back on it as well, but the site design was not my taste xD, also the feature is pretty confusing for me, but i'll use that as alternative if fanbox no longer good... but you might spend more in gumroad if you want to see my older collection..

rou271

yus! i was thinking of back to it as well, but since you need to spend more to see my older reward, i'll wait and see in fanbox for now. gumroad will do, if fanbox can no longer be used

Anonymous

What i hate about this is having to leave behind an even bigger paper trail behind myself if I have to follow artists to fantia or other obscure jp sites with no english support, at least gumroad would be fine (better for me even due to the nature of discreet payments vs subscription)

Where u here where i here.

It seems that it is best to have a backup site in case the worst case scenario happens but it is also super hard to determine what kind of content is too much and what is correct according to terms of use which only has some words. I love your content you have all my support but I think it is best to just be extra careful when it comes with content that match the description of "bad content" it really sucks for you that you are being at risk of being taken down but on the bright side some content that needs to be removed will be soon (I'm not talking about your work I am talking about the ones being really really really extreme).

rou271

i am still on patreon if you pledge in there, but let's wait and see if pixiv actually take a drastic action... i kinda doubt pixiv will do a wave ban..
