v0.20 pt 1 has been released! While there is still 2 more parts of this release series to be shared later on Nov 18th & Nov 30th. We want to keep to our word, providing v0.20 as a whole for "free" to any supporters who supported us at least $5+ through the past years of development. This is our way of trying to make things right slowly as we begin to release new content steadily once again.

[Keep in mind that this is v0.20 part 1, with part 2 expected for Nov 18th and part 3 expected for Nov 30th. Part 1 doesn't feature a ton of new content within episode 5, where part 2 & 3 each feature 4-5 new scenes added and will be the bulk of those releases content.]

-Transferring saved data from Version 0.15+ should work. Reminder that I believe you need to have said saved date close to the end of a episode for it to work correctly. (There might be some weird visuals in the load data screen, because of the 1280x720 aspect, where now the game is in 1920x1080 as of v0.19+)

-All sprite assets have been fully replaced and updated with their finalized art.
-New episode 5 splash screen art added.
-New music has been added to the title screen and other areas.

~Known or possible issues being looked into~ (Feedback very helpful! <3)
-With the new gui text box, we have finalized font text, size and color scheme. We'd love to hear everyone's feedback in how the readability feels in general with how it appears. Ideally this is the default look for the game, but depending on feedback, we'd like to include general options to change the text simply to white or black within the config settings, if it makes a big difference. 

-Android builds need a bit more testing and our hope is to have this up and running with v0.20 pt 2 expected for Nov 18th. Thank you for your patience.
-Finalized cg art has not been added to the game yet. We're waiting to add these in all at once in future releases. Episode 5 will have new cg scenes added, but they might be outdated art style mixed with some being finalized.

-Miki's Dream might still have a bug or two at a given spot within the content. This shouldn't prevent you from completing the content, as it's linked to failure outcomes. We are looking into this and fixing it as part of v0.20's series of releases this month.

Just wanted to reach out to everyone who is active supporters, former or followers of our project.

We've received a warning from patreon themselves, mentioning that our patreon is breaking community guidelines. This select issue being linked to public posts that contain nudity, genitals or suggested nudity. 

So as of right now it could be upwards of 1 week from now before patreon support gets back to my email I sent them, after already fixing up any questionable public posts that might fall in those guidelines. This also means that public post wise for general followers will be a bit more strict when it comes to any art related preview posts. 

I am sorry to say that, not that we share a lot of art previews openly. But what we do choose to share will have to be considered before we post it for public. (this mainly only affects art related stuff)

Anyways as mentioned, I can not make new posts while our patreon page is temporarily suspended. Which is why I am reaching out to everyone through private messages instead.

Thank you for understanding, updates on the situation will be posted in our discord and I will let everyone know once our page is back to normal once more. Look forward to a lot of content to be posted once our page lifts from being suspended in hopefully less than a week from today (June 4th). 

Hi there everyone! ^^ This message is to let active and also former supporters know that update 0.08 (update 0.07 for public) has released! I know some former supporters left due to their own reasons, but I do hope that we've been doing a better job in providing consist news updates, previews, etc. Along with making good use of the discord server nearly daily at this point. If there's any reason you might've left us in the past and feel like we did something wrong in our process, I would like to just say I'm personally sorry and we don't ever intend on making anyone upset.

I'd like to hopefully see some of you give us a second chance sometime in the future, as our project is going through some very exciting things in the coming months. Just to mention the game has been rebooted (happened in December) in order to make the envisioned direction for the game and fix things, expand and make the game better overall. (This meant converting old content from update 0.05 to still be in the game, but expand and better fix things.)

Chapters were converted into days, with chapter 1 becoming days 1-5. the 1st free day became days 6-7 (in a sense, as free days are gone). We're up to day 9 completed with days 8-12 taking place during the chapter 2 content from update 0.05. Each day has 3 sections with a set focused slice of life, erotic, general school life feel, etc. Each section will always aim for roughly 1500 word count, meaning it greatly expands on the old version of the game and even week 1 which tries following a lot of introductions from the previous version feel very new and different. To sum it up, the reboot process while it might be annoying to some. It should have plenty to offer to new, existing, former supporters and fans.

Along with the above, we went into 2020 strong with each month growing in support and because of this. We were able to hire a gui artist during January who did an amazing job to really help give the game it's unique scheme/design. (the gui can be seen in update 0.08 currently) 

During February, we brought on a background artist to the team and began work on getting those generic placeholder backgrounds out of the way! (the patreon banner shows a little preview of the first completed background. Otherwise it's seen in update 0.08 also)

March, April & May.. During these coming months, we're going to continue building on the current art assets and shoot for launching a kickstarter campaign in May. (supporter tiers will match same rewards as kickstarter, but offer new higher backer tiers over there.) We hope that by then we'll have a complete opening/trailer for the game and that any funding from kickstarter will help us speed things up, as we're currently looking at having Messy Academy finished roughly around spring of 2021.

Our cg scenes are still coming along slowly, but it's just the nature of cg scenes vs cost per scene right now. Our sprites have been coming along nicely, all main girls are completed, side girls completed (Zoey/Lola seen in update 0.08) with Joey, Nathan, John & Nurse being worked on now.

One last note for former supporters, the game hasn't made use of 3d assets since the reboot updates 0.06 through 0.08 ^^ I know some liked the 3d, but it was never meant to stay 3d in the end. 

If you're interested in checking things out, update 0.07 is open to the public to check out days 1-6 with a lot of content to offer! If what you see, added with anything above peaks your interest. Update 0.08 while it only offers 3 new days (days 7, 8 & 9) It brings with it Zoey & Lola sprites, 2 new cg scenes, 1 new background art & the final gui elements added. Plus many little touch ups on older scenes to keep things looking visually nice. ^^

This will be our "big" update for a long time, with each monthly update following it being less content to expect. That isn't to say new updates won't aim for 3-4 new days of content still! :P It's just that update 0.07 was expected to be a huge update with many things, so I don't want anyone getting their hopes too high on what to expect each month after this update.

-Episode 5, Scene 2 has some text like "..." appear oddly. There is also some paragraphs that are awkwardly running over gui buttons. [Fix in place for v0.20 pt 3]

-The new textbox ui button to hide the window has a known issue: After clicking the X and proceeding to click anywhere on screen besides the check mark/button to make the textbox reappear. It will cause a exception error/crash. [Broken until v0.21]

-Android build is provided, but it might be completely broken as of v0.20 pt 2. Those with phones, give it a try and let us know your findings!

-Finalized cg art has not been added to the game yet. We're waiting to add these in all at once in future releases. Episode 5 will have new cg scenes added, but they might be outdated art style mixed with some being finalized. 

-Episodes 1-4 has new sprite visuals that may not line up with current text shown in-game. Example: Nurse and Karissa are sporting sweet pamps now, but we haven't added new text to reflect this. [Updates being made in v0.21]

-An issue with dialogue text appearing with "XX_" before certain words when it shouldn't appear like this. Example for Episode 1 at the nurse's office: "She was sitting at her desk in the middle of writing" is how it should appear, but it's appearing as "She was sitting at her desk in the te_middle of writing". [v0.20 pt 2 has fixed some of these, if you find more. Take a screenshot and share in the #bug report channel on Discord! <3]
