Sometimes the Discord integration isn't that smooth or obvious, nor is the route from Patron to game server info and whatnot. Most of this is due to Patreon's design (which would probably be overcomplicated if it allowed me to customize things this much, to be fair).
I was thinking of just setting up a simple wiki page with this info on it, and anyone can have access. Yay?

Sim Selections is an awesome tradition some Discord members are starting, and it's a great way to learn and sharpen your writing skills. This month the Orica competition would have made it confusing to be addressing all of the songs at the same time, but if you're a musician and not involved, you should be!

Finally, I have loads of unfinished music and I was thinking of either having that being part of Sim Selections, or just posting it in bundles as I organize it. Basically remix-packs of sorts. Obviously anyone would be able to use these assets for anything they like and can credit me if they want, but I think I may not even care about attribution unless y'all thought it would be an interesting bookmark. Think...like...treating music like open source software and branching out different versions? Attribution would just be an organizational reference.

Let me know your thoughts!

Did anyone find the discord link?

I love the idea of you releasing asset bundles. As someone who makes music with a lot of sampling, I'd love to be able to play around with your ideas and incorporate them into the music I release.

I think the remix packs would be a great idea for both Sim Selections and posted as bundles!

I'm going to say more in the discord, but I somehow mistakenly interpretated this to mean asset bundles announced/showcased as part of Sim Selections and now I love that idea. Otherwise, asset bundles in any form would of course be amazing.

My favourite type of contest (for want of a better word, I know SS isn't a contest) is where everyone gets a sample pack and has to make a track using it, I love hearing how different all the results are when starting from the same source, so I love the idea of using these unfinished tracks in that way. Even better is the open source nature of it allowing people to use and share and publish the work they've done with it, which is often missing in these sort of events run elsewhere.

Me and my band are quite busy prepping for a festival, but I can't wait to enter these awesome creative endeavors with you guys!! I've been wanting to for a while. Thanks for all you are doing, its great stuff!

I like it. I only make one kind of song, so if you want to hear your track turned into a downtempo dub groove, you know what to do!

Treating music like open source software and branching out different versions? Isn't that how music and art already is, and always have been? Historically, humans haven't really bothered with attribution but there wasn't really any reasons to until capitalism came and try to block that natural flow.
