I can't recall for sure but iirc the guy who animated some of the Pain fight in Naruto was also involved with this episode, along with a crap ton of other big name animators. I think he did the scene in the chainsawman opening where Denji pops out of the Zombie Devil as well. once you finish the series Mothers basement did a video on Mob if you're into details like that.

Actual goosebumps when ???% appeared and just completely annihilated the whole mindscape they were in. The animation for this episode was insane
