Okay so bear with me..

I give out LOTS of artwork per month for just $5 and idc if its not the best anatomy or pose or wtvr but when I compare myself to the other creators in the industry I feel like they are all valuing their patreon rewards at a higher value for the entire monthly sets (I usually see around $7-$15 for ALL full colour HD image sets of that month.. somtimes even $20-$30) where as I've been at $5/month since 2015.. NOW I understand that for a lot of people the $5 tier is affordable to them and I think about this a lot and would honestly rather be cheaper/more affordable than not BUT I also see that as I grow and others around me are charging more and receiving more.. I feel a bit undersold..or maybe undervalued.. and thats not me complaining or not appreciating the support I get because TRUST me I am SO fuckin grateful for the support you guys provide me here. Please know that.

Then also I think, well I want to open another patreon maybe for this game Idea I have because I'd like to start doing that with maybe 5 images a month for 3 years and that would make up a lot of the game but then I can't value that at more than this patreon  because this is a comparison issue and I'd actually like to value it LESS but I cant work for less like.. I cant afford to work for what... $3??? it doesnt make sense but then  if I do $8 on THAT patreon then it over-inflates this patreon and devalues that one?? So I feel stuck in this old Gasai value from 2015 and then I think also... isnt like Sakimichan like ....$5 ? then im like... valuing myself at MORE than SAKIMI??? idk?? like so weird ..

(Also when I talk about making a new patreon I don't want you guys to think im like trying to milk money out of everyone because thats a totally separate project that actually would need support to function as well like, I can't attach those rewards to this patreon because then overall its at a loss of time/productivity/funds > what I provide compared to support? idk but like yea, don't think im would spend LESS time here and split this patreon time over 2 different patreons in order to make more money because what I would actually be going to do if I launch a second patreon  is taking the time I use on commissions and putting it over there so I'd stop commission entirely so it wouldnt affect this patreon as much because I usually post the commissions publicly anyway .. get it? god this is so long I wish I could do a video XD)

SO idk. im wondering maybe I could re-value my patreon tier at maybe $8 for the full pack BUT everyone that is on the $5 tier right now would be able to continue paying $5 for the full packs for as long as they choose, so it would be like , everyone who stays on the $5 tier after a certain month would be able to stay there as long as they choose while NEW patrons would have to go to the $8 tier??

What do you think of this idea? like is it reasonable or am I just crazy or greedy or something?  comment down below im genuinely interested in what you guys think, I've definitely spoke about this in the past but I just thought of this "legacy tier" idea where you guys can stay on the $5 one

(People who need to read sentences that are properly structured with periods in proper places and stuff and no "likes" literally just passed away trying to read this, SORRY! >.<)

OH also know that nothing is set in stone or set to go out or anything, im just throwing this idea out there and want to hear from you guys, that is all for now!

I can do an $8 tier

I know that I've had to suspend a lot of pledges over the last year because I've been out of work, so while I couldn't necessarily pay more right now and stay within the budget I've set myself for patreon, I would be able to once I'm working again.

GasaiV

thanks! and well you wouldnt have to because you've been a patreon before the change :P Im thinking if I did this change I could just download the archive of patreon emails I have and allow previous patrons to rejoin at $5 at future dates too

GasaiV

for sure, totally understandable and I know this is the case for many

I always think in term of annual outlay. So I read as 60 per year going to 96 per year. Big jump percentage wise. That said you have to price your work for its value. Choose the price you’re worth. Always.

GasaiV

for sure and thats what I try to gauge. And like ... im not desperate for more funds but it does feel a bit off when I see everyone else getting support for more of a pledge and im like under valuing myself or something??? idk , it also im sure is maybe even offensive from their side that im charging low who knows, but its all just thoughts rn

You do really put out a LOT for $5 - I've expected you to break out a higher tier for all the art or bump up the price overall for a while, and definitely don't think it's greedy or whatever.

I’m still supporting you GasaiV! Because I love the artwork you do and the polls, and commissions. It brings me delight and joy in these frustrating and dark times. So it’s okay for you to think about this seriously. I will still be with you.😊 Especially since I have another commission idea for you and I have the reference materials ready. Just going to wait a bit after my one in the works and then I’ll let you know when you can give me the commission form to fill out.

You gave us those past months really great quality materials. If I have to think of all the patreons I'm actually supporting, you are my number 1, and I will do my best to keep on supporting you and your art. So, compare to the others, if you feel like changing stuffs, do so. And thank you for your hard work !!
