Project Maple progress update! (Patreon)

Project Maple has been quietly progressing! See more pics on PussPuss’s post! 

Thanks to the hard work of PussPuss, both the main character Maple and the pov player character (masc version) are now ready to be rigged! The above pictures are cut up into individual body parts and layers. Now we need to place ‘em on a skeleton to begin animation. I’ll probably stream this process cause I think it’ll be fun and educational to watch. Dunno when, but I’ll announce it and there’ll be a VOD afterward if you miss it. :3

So far, our plans for the game involve basic lewd stuff, inflation, impregnation, and a pregnancy progression mechanic:

We’re trying to keep a strict scope on this game, but also leave room for creative iteration on the idea. I feel good about where we’ve ended up so far!

The whole thing is designed to be quick to rig, straightforward to animate, and simple to code. I’m excited to see if our streamlining efforts have paid off! Looks like the ball is in my court to make progress, though. SHF3 is my priority atm, so I’ll be avoiding code work on Maple right now. Will make time for the rigging though!

I’m excited for this project on its own. But I’m even more excited for what it represents- an experiment in high-quality smut, collaborating with amazing artists, and developing a content creation pipeline that gives everyone more lewds faster without sacrificing development resources.

As a reminder, I'm using the SHF3 engine to make this game. So things like the code architecture work mentioned in today's SHF3 post are also laying the groundwork for Maple's code. So keep your eye out for updates on both projects to stay informed on development progress! :3
