Last September there was a Genshin Impact collaboration cafe with a dessert and pasta buffet here in Japan called “Sweets Paradise”. September is Mondstadt month and October is Liyue month.

I love Genshin so much that even though usually collab cafes are subpar I just wanted to experience what they had to offer. And good thing I went because it exceeded my expectations! Out of all the anime and video game cafes I’ve been to in Tokyo this was the best one so far.

Let me start by showing you the Posters by the entrance.

Like most collab cafes, they have only a handful of themed food and drinks which all come with a collectible trading coaster. When they say "trading" anything, this means the designs are random so you might get multiples of some designs. For this event specifically, with each food item or drink you get a rounded square coaster. They also give you a placemat; which no one ever actually uses. These are considered event collectibles too and they even have a station for you to laminate the placemats if you want to take them home. And look how cute there are! Of course you'd want to take them home <3

They have all the Mondstadt people as chibis wearing their server outfits. For this event specifically, only Klee and Albedo were drawn as full characters and the rest are chibified. The same designs can also be found on the walls of the restaurant as well as art boards signed by their Japanese voice actors. The atmosphere was absolutely great as the place was covered in Genshin art and they were playing Mondstadt BGM.

Let's go ahead and take a look at the food. They were offering 6 different dishes but each one cost around $8-$12 so I was only able to get 4.

To my surprise the best one was Sucrose's Gratin. It doesn't look too fancy nor appealing but they green sauce was so creamy and cheesy that there was no way it could go wrong.

The next item on the menu is Klee's fish toast. Absolutely cute and very Klee--but heck it was just a tuna and cheese toast. Still tasty but not worth $8. I mean most of the character dishes you would just get because you love the aesthetics so... won't complain too much- I got what I wanted out of it which was the excitement of eating "Mondstadtian Food".

Kinda regret getting this Albedo dish but I just love him and I love chocolate. Did I mention that this restaurant doing the collab is a dessert buffet? So definitely no need to get a little chocolate cupcake. I'll show you the buffet table later and you'll see what I mean.

This next one was the most worth it to me because it was adorable and quite filling imo. It's Noelle's Lighter-Than-Air pancake! It's so cute! And behind it are several mixed drinks that represents Diluc, Mona, Razor and Diona. The tastiest one was Mona's and Razor's-- they're not even bartenders! I did enjoy the pop rocks in Diona's drink though. Also I always appreciate a Diluc with a high ponytail. ^_~

This is the buffet table I was talking about. Every 30 minutes they rotate the desserts, curry and pasta. They also have popcorn and frites as extra snacks. The drink bar also has a huge selection.

Just look at this tea selection! Wow!

This was my first plate of desserts. They were all very good and I love having so much variety and being able to try a lot because of the small portions. The creme brulee pudding roll was the best and they even have seasonal ones like the Mint Oreo chiffon cake (on the top right).

Last but not least we gotta talk about the event exclusive merch. The standees were all sold out since the first week. I got myself a file folder, a few slime plushies and stickers. Next time I'll make sure to go earlier for the Liyue one so I can get the better merch.

Hope you guys enjoy my little story time about the Genshin Cafe. I will try to go to the Liyue one in October too. The mascot for October is Xiao and Hutao! In the future I would like to write more casual blogs here on Patreon. Hope you like it and feel free to request / suggest topics on what you'd like me to write about. Specially stuff that can only be found in Tokyo now that things are starting to open back up.

Thank you for reading <3

It’s rather wonderful really. I wish I could go to Japan, it’s my dream but I’ll never be able to afford it. Have you found any of the gashapons for them?

Bachoochi The Pomeranian

Yes, there are gachapons for figures and rubber straps here! I even put some doubles in the shop because I keep getting multiples. In Japan I think Venti and Diluc are the most coveted so it's harder to get them in the gachas. ;u;

I am so jealous. I did go the final fantasy XIV cafe in 2019. That was fun.
